I booked this house because of the location and fantastic price. It was adorable and exactly as expected. I couldn't get the dryer door to open but I think that may have been operator error. The property managers, Duncan and Laurie with Tortuga, went above and beyond to make my stay not just ok, but exceptional. I would have missed the ferry due to my plane delay had Duncan not reached out to give me additional options. He even called the ferry captain to make sure he new I was coming for the last boat. We arrived to find that the Island Club, independent of the VRBO rental, had failed to deliver the golf cart we had rented and paid for because the owner of Calliope Cottage refuses to include his onsite cart for renters. Topping that was the LITERAL HOT BOX we arrived to at Calliope Cottage. Power was on everywhere on the Island EXCEPT at Calliope Cottage! It was hotter inside the Cottage than outside. No one, NO ONE, had checked to ensure that the Cottage was ready for our stay. And to top it off, no phone numbers were provided for the owner and/or on-island personnel in the event of issues with the property! A disaster all the way around! ##### gary d. Have your morning coffee on the porch, like sitting in a treehouse in the tropical canopy, just you and all the birds and the nearby sound of the Gulf. Easy walk to the beaches on either end of the tiny grass airstrip, or to Mainstay restaurant. Beyond that, a rented cart was very helpful.
