(Cannelton, Indiana) This is quite the place, a log cabin right on the bank of the Ohio River. This property is off the “beaten path” and very remote. The rental is very rustic looking, yet has all the amenities we could ask for; WiFi, air conditioning, stove, dishwasher, and comfortable furniture. It is truly a gem. My only thought is that the WiFi didn’t connect well in the “far reaches” of the master bedroom. I would get a eero or something that extends the WiFi reach; other than that, the master bedroom has a California king bed, which we liked. There are a total of 3 bedrooms. There is a bathroom on the main floor, connected to the master bedroom, and one in the upstairs area., connected to the bedroom, upstairs. The inside was designed well. The fire pit, outside, was a nice feature. The owner provided a limited amount of firewood. If you want more, you will have to bring your own or buy it locally. The covered porch, porch swing, and chairs, are heavy duty, and very good quality. We had no disappointments. This is a very nice place and would like to visit again sometime. ##### Jack W. Nice touches through-out. Outstanding views This cabin exceeded my expectations. The views were even better than pictures. Check in was easy. There were lots of nice touches. I was happy to see several fuzzy lap blankets because I forgot mine. There was plenty of seating in the living space on the main floor and in the walkout basement. The porch was relaxing with lots of nice places to sit, including a porch swing and rockers. We also had a fire ring where we roasted marshmallows. Nice comfortable chairs around the fire ring and a picnic table. We even found roasting sticks! We found corn hole boards and played a couple of games. Although we didn't need it, the gates for the stairs could make a family with young kids so much more secure. There is a boat dock just before the cabin. Had we known that, we would have loved to bring our boat. We have really only seen the Cincinnati River on the Ohio side. We have a whole different opinion of the river now. It was lovely and looked as nice as a lake. We watched barges and lots of pontoon and speed boats having the times of their lives. We came with enough food for the weekend, with no intentions of leaving until it was time to go. We were not disappointed. My friends saw my pictures and now they want to come back with us. It is a beautiful and well appointed home away from home.
