Good access to major scenic towns and hiking in the Picos de Europas. Was little disappointed they didn't have air conditioning running in November so we could keep room really cold for my wife, however they brought us a fan and that worked well. Great food and service. Breakfast was delicious and the lasagna dinner was memorable. Beds could use some upgrading as they were a bit stiff. Again service is top notch and everyone is so helpful. The best reason to book this hotel are the hot springs. You get one 40 minute session per night which is very relaxing after a day of hiking. These are natural hot springs flowing from the outside, with many different water massage areas, as well as a sauna, steam room, onsen, whirlpool and cold rinsing pool. They also have along outdoor pool if you want to swim. The second reason is the location. You are between Fuente De and Poncebos. There is no better location to reach each of these in 1 hour, plus Potes, Sotres and Bulnes. Covadonga lakes are another 30 min, but beware private cars cannot go to Covadonga. You need to leave your car at a parking lot and they have taxis to take you the rest of the way. Besides location and hot springs, the hotel is very good, comfortable bed, excellent staff and great breakfast. They don’t have a coffee/tea kettle in the room. You need to buy that at the bar, but the waiter brought it all the way to my room.
