The view does not disappoint...beautiful!It was easy to find with the instructions given and Marcos was always available to answer questions before and after arrival. "If you’re driving watch out the hotel is easy to miss, it’s on your right hand side as you go up the steep narrow street. If possible turn into the side road just before the hotel and park near the junction. The hotel car park is not far from there. Lovely quiet situation but not far from the town centre. Nice room with comfortable bed. The staff are friendly and helpful."

Parking in basement was a challenge, not for bigger cars for sure and you need to be able to navigate your vehicle carefully, not much room to get around. Breakfast was OK, a missed a bit of more healthy options. Friendly and helpful staff most of the time even with a few language challenges, receptionists spoke good English though."

"Great accommodation with an amazing panoramic view. The rooms come with a river view and I don’t think I found better views anywhere else having driven around the region! The hotel is beautifully furnished with a nice terrace, living area and dining space overlooking the river. There is a kayak hire close by where you can enjoy a paddle along the Douro or the calmer Bestança. Helpful guys running the place. Breakfast is good; basic but sufficient, with eggs to order. A few things would have elevated the stay. The pool could do with a clean as there were insects. The dinner was disappointing and I would not recommend. There is a small kitchen, so options are limited, but despite this, the quality was underwhelming for the price, and it would be better heading into Cinfaes for a meal 15 min drive away. Overall a great stay - particularly for the views!"

"Great place. We had a spacious suite with a nice river view. Close to a river walk which takes you all the way to the 1st big lock on the Douro. Breakfast came in a box to your room every morning with fresh bread, pastries, cheese, ham, orange juice & coffee. Kitchen was also well equipped. We would definitely stay there again."
