Great for groups

Pros: Warm, outstanding breakfast
Location: Close to airport. Central location
Stayed with sporting group. Very helpful staff. Many different options of room provide for everyone. Daily replacing of water in fridge a nice surprise.

Cozy but noisy

Pros: Nice location, comfy bed and pillows, strong water flow in shower, great selection of movies.
Cons: Perhaps the hotel could install devices that prevent doors from slamming loudly. Alos, windows to be deadlocked, especially on ground floor
Location: A short drive to Manuka cafes, City centre, Woden, Queanbeyan and Fyshwick factory outlet shopping. Great spot for day trips in all directions
Overall the hotel is cozy and in a lovely location, but there was a lot of noise that disrupted my sleep several times during my second night there. Young children crying, other guests yelling, doors slamming all night and one very loud slam at 3am that caused me to be wide awake for an hour. I've stayed here before and didn't have a problem with noise. Shower heads give out a decent strong water flow. Beds and pillows are very comfy. The tv system is a little confusing and my movies kept stopping every 25mins or so, tried calling reception for help but noone answered. The selection of movies is great, though.

Hotel is very clean, excelent staff!!! Breakfast wasn't that good!!! Not to much tables for all guest! It was a really busy to the staff! What I found out is that need more people to work in the restaurant! A part from all that the hotel is excelent

Pros: Close to everything
Cons: Toilet wouldn't flush by the morning
Location: Close to where we wanted to go ie: mint museums shops.
We found the ibis to be clean and comfortable, everything was there, restaurant, bar and a nice breakfast (free) our two grandsons enjoyed their stay as well as nanny and grandpa.

Pros: Hotel was clean and close to the city
Room was nice and comfortable, free wifi was awesome. It was advertised that breakfast was included however, when we arrived at breakfast we were told we had to pay $6 extra per person for a hot breakfast. Upon check-in they didn't mention anything, just that breakfast was included.

Ok hotel if you need to be in Narrabundah

Location: Local Narrabundah shops about 15 minutes walk away
Slightly old rooms - room doors are opened with a key rather than swipe access. Good to have free WiFi.

Pros: Good size room for family. Good buffet breakfast.
Rebooked due to good first experience, unfortunately didn't receive the same level of service from staff this time around. Rooms clean and comfortable however bathroom tiles were very slippery when wet. T.v set up is good once you get it figured out and the picture and sound are in time with one another.

Hotel close to city

Pros: Breakfast was OK
Cons: The rooms set aside for families should be of an adequate size for the beds available.
Location: The hotel was close to good places to eat and was also close to the city centre.
The family room was dissapointing as the room was not large enought for 4 people (but had beds for 5) and the main bed was broken. We do not expect gold plated taps but do expect that the room is clean and all items fuction as expected and are not broken. Overall, room was dissapointing.

Excellent value in a pretty setting

Pros: The breakfast has a lot of options on offer
Cons: The hotel needs a little spruce up, Walls have scratches in places and looks a little tired but does not take away from the comfort of the hotel.
Location: Excellent location and proximity to the CBD and lake. Clean and picturesque suburb.
We stayed at the Ibis for four days and were very impressed by the premises. The area is close to everything we needed to go to and the hotel is on a large block surrounded by gorgeous trees. The staff were only too pleased to assist with any enquiry. Breakfast had a lot on offer and was delicious. The rooms were spacious and had all the required amenities, Bed was a little on the hard side, but that is expected at hotels but not as uncomfortable as to disturb sleep. Happy hour was a bonus at the internal bar and dinner is available. The hotel is a an absolute gem as far as requirements are concerned. I have to make mention of a situation I witness at breakfast on the Sunday. There was a female with her elder parents having breakfast and the patience and control the staff had in dealing with an extremely unreasonable customer is to be commended. The female complained that there were no hash browns on offer that morning, so a whole plate was cooked up just for their table. Then she complained the poached eggs were too runny, so another batch were made only to complain they were too firm. I watched this woman make such unreasonable demands on the staff, who every time answered politely and tried their best to appease what was an obnoxious patron. The only negative comment I can make is that I noticed the internal stairs were not cleaned daily or did not appear to be cleaned daily. You notice these things as you look down as you are climbing or descending stairs.
