This house is located in the Plaza Mayor of the town of Canalejas de Peñafiel on the Ribera del Duero, 9 km from Peñafiel near SEGOVIA,. It is a cozy stone house with two floors and a loft, has nice views from the balcony and the windows on the square, the church, the nearby streets and the oldest and most original part of the town. The house has three floors: \- Four bedrooms: three of them with a double bed, a double bedroom and a large attic with three beds and one of them extra; It has a playground and rest area. \- Three fully equipped bathrooms on each floor. \- Large living room in which the original wooden beams of the house have been discovered. The furniture is Castilian style, and highlights the table that has been made with a trillo covered by a glass. \- Kitchen with kitchenware, hob, coffee maker, toaster, electric oven, washing machine, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, juicer, extractor hood, etc. \-Patio with barbecue \-Winery: In Canalejas it is typical to keep the wine once made in these wineries in which a constant temperature is maintained throughout the year. La casa es amplia con cinco domitorios, uno de ellos en la bohardilla , todos reunen magnificas condiciones para el descanso . Hemos paseado y visitado Peñafiel y los peques se lo han pasado genial jugando en la plaza y en el parque. La atención de los dueños ha sido correcta y los vecinos también han sido muy amables. También en el bar Casa Aurelio nos han facilitado mucho las cosas. Allí, se puede comer desde unas raciones, a su famoso bacalo, además de arroz con bogavante que a los niños les ha encantado. Ah! En el caso de La Herrería me sorprendió que todos fueran muy positivos. Y la verdad es que cuando estás allí y pasas unos días en ella te das cuenta de que es así, de que todos coincidimos y por algo será. Fuimos un grupo de 9 amigos y estuvimos muy a gusto. Espacio suficiente tanto en las habitaciones como en el salón. Habitaciones muy grandes y el ático es encantador y acogedor. Decoración muy bonita, agradable y con el toque rural adecuado sin perder por ello nada de comodidad. Perfecta la calefacción y si hace un buen día la barbacoa y el patio son más que adecuados. Tranquilidad a la hora de dormir. Comodidad en la estancia (tiene de todo lo que se puede necesitar) y amabilidad del dueño que siempre es de agradecer. Ideal para ir en grupo y muy cerca de Peñafiel donde es obligado la visita a alguna bodega de la zona de Ribera del Duero. Así que salimos todos muy contentos. Decir que todo ha sido perfecto, la casa es realmente rural, decorada con mucho gusto (Muebles antiguos, aperos y herramientas, vigas de madera en el techo, etc.), los dueños amables y siempre a disposición si hay algún problema. La ubicación del pueblo, muy tranquilo, permite moverse por las provincias de Segovia y Valladolid para hacer rutas turísticas sin hacer muchos kilómetros. En fin, que como titulo mi opinión, no os equivocareis si elegis esta casa. ##### usr260545 This review was submitted before 2018 and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent #### RAMÓN 11 Apr 2011 #### Despedida de soltero en La Herrería Acabamos de pasar un fin de semana en La Herrería por la Despedida de Soltero de un amigo, y sólo podemos agradecer a Daniel, su propietario, el amable trato que hemos recibido y lo bien que lo hemos pasado en su casa (cuidada hasta el más mínimo detalle). Hemos ido a varias casas rurales, y tengo que decir que, vayáis solos o con vuestras mujeres/niños, pocas casas encontraréis que os resulten más cómodas y acogedoras. Mención especial merece el cordero que nos prepararon en la carnicería del pueblo (recomendación, también, de La Herrería), y que nos acercaron puntualmente a la hora de comer en sus correpondientes platos de barro. De matrícula (por calidad y por precio). Muy recomendable, también, visitar alguna bodega de la zona. Lo dicho, enhorabuena a Daniel (y, en su caso, a las demás personas que se encarguen del mantenimiento de la casa), y muchas gracias otra vez por la estancia. ¡Raro será que no volvamos!
