"Lloyd, the hotel staff member was helpful, friendly, but also respectfully of guest privacy. I called before my arrival because I was not sure if I could arrive around midnight based on my flight time. He was warm, stating "I was expecting your call" and he made me feel welcome and right at home. The bed was super comfortable. From the deer in the yard and being surrounded by tall trees, the place provided the right atmosphere for a relaxing, peaceful stay. I would recommend this place to anyone interested in recharging. The community has everything to offer of a city with a small town feel."

"This was a perfect weekend getaway. We didn’t travel far, just from Baton Rouge, but it was nice getting out of the city and having a new scenery. It is close enough to Hammond in case you want to go do some shopping, eating etc. The beds were very comfy and I really liked this home and property, I liked it so much, now I’m on realtor.com looking up property, wishful thinking! I highly recommend this cottage!"

"My husband and I booked Chateau de Campo for two nights for the Perseid meteor shower. The location offered a nice wide open view and dark skies, and it was perfect for what we intended to do. We booked two nights just in case clouds messed up the peak night, we could stay the extra day and at least see something. Well, we ended up getting a perfect first night for the peak of the meteor shower. I saw 78 meteors total. So, we use the second day to kind of catch up on some sleep that we needed and go into town. This was the cutest little cabin ever. Everything was set up perfectly to accommodate us. The bed was comfortable, we had a nice full-size bathroom, a washer and dryer and a little kitchen set up too. The other perk is it’s only about a nine minute drive into town. There are so many cute and good restaurants to eat at. We tried Bessies’s Sweet Retreat, Red Brick Café, and Swamp Monster. If you don’t feel like eating out, there is a little cooktop and a microwave that you can cook with, and a propane grill on the back porch.This was a great place to unwind and relax. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and plan on returning again."

"Ms. Kay, the property owner, was nothing short of a delight! She was prompt, attentive, friendly, helpful...we wanted for nothing! We had one issue, and I asked her not to make a trip to address it, but guess what she did IMMEDIATELY? She made the trip! The home has ample space for your large family, equipped with all of the necessities for your vacation. My mom and I were both so happy to return home with NO dirty clothes (4 boys family reunion with water slides, dunking booth, foam machine, and dirt disaster without laundry facilities).If you'd prefer the space to stretch out in a home tucked away in a serene, scenic park, look no further!"

"Cozy, nature-lover's camper! A few cobwebs, not much clothing space for a longer stay, and you can't use the oven/stove, however this place had a comfy bed, nice bathroom, coffee maker, a plug-in cooking pan, spacious fridge, nice living space, great internet and private, secluded location. Host was friendly and excellent to communicate with."
