Stunning Uninterrupted Moorland Views Over Lake and Rough Tor

Cottage in Camelford with kitchen and patio
Mabel's Cottage offers a delightful rural retreat located on the edge of the moors and yet is only a few miles from the beautiful North Cornish coastline. The well known Port Isaac, Tintagel and Boscastle are all close by, along with the beautiful beach at Trebarwith Strand, and wonderful walks such as the Camel trail and St Necten's Glen to name but a few! Climb the Tor, meet the local sheep, cows, chickens and ponies, listen to the birdsong. We have swallows nesting in the summer and the famous starling murmurations fly overhead twice a day from mid October until early spring. A real sight to behold.
Guest accommodation at this cottage offers DVD players and a hairdryer. Rooms open to patios. This accommodation offers separate living rooms. Kitchens offer fridges, hobs, microwaves and separate dining areas. Bathrooms include a shower.

      Cornwall Stay

This is an excellently appointed cottage, with good facilities and very comfortable.. The hosts Wendy and John gave good directions to the property and very friendly and were available for queries for the duration of our stay. The welcome plate of scones, jam and cream was very much appreciated.

Peace and tranquility, just what we needed.

Mabel’s Cottage was awesome. The property was small but perfectly formed and was in a beautiful peaceful location, with amazing views and a great position for discovering the moors and the coasts of Cornwall. The property had more than you needed and the cream tea and fresh flowers added a lovely final touch on arrival. Wendy and John were full of local information but gave us the space we were looking for. Guaranteed to visit again, many thanks.

            Beautiful cottage and amazing location

John & Wendy were extremely welcoming and helpful. The cottage has been done to a very high standard and was immaculately clean. Everything we needed to feel at home was provided, including milk, tea and coffee and even some yummy mince pies on our arrival. The view of the lake is just breath taking and the peace and quiet perfect. We even had morning starling shows in the sky too! Stunning location and a wonderful little cottage. Couldn’t fault anything about it. It made seeing our New Year in just perfect.

Magical Rural Property with Stunning Views

My stay at Mabel's cottage was wonderful; John and Wendy have thought of everything to make guests feel comfortable as if they were at home. The cottage is spotlessly clean with a very high standard of finish and lovely and warm too. Having a choice of sitting area was also greatly appreciated, as I could watch the amazing murmurations from the living area or the conservatory. The views really are as good as the pictures and the local walks are idyllic. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to stay at Mabel's cottage again and can't wait to go back when the log burner is installed. Thank you John and Wendy for making me feel so welcome and being on hand for any advice.
