The lodge was clean and cosy. It was so quiet we had the farm pretty much to ourselves and the pub for a few days. Cream tea on arrival was lovely. Food in the pub was good and reasonably priced. We also enjoyed the games room. We had lots of day trips at the local areas of interest all of which were not too far. Simone was very quick at sorting any problems that we had. All in all a great week away. The lodge was comfortable with everything we needed. There are plenty of grounds to explore, including fishing lakes. The pool was lovely and warm, even on cold, rainy days and the booking system was easy to use. Although closed, the St Tinney’s Arms was still taking food orders which were tasty, reasonably priced and delivered to our lodge. Great stay in one of the Valley lodges. The location is great for exploring the local area, close to Bude and Boscastle. The site is clean and well kept, the owners are friendly and helpful. The lodge was very comfortable and well maintained, with most of what you need. Onsite facilities are very good and the pub does very tasty meals. We found that having the fishing lakes and walks were a bonus to come back to after a day out. The access road off the A39 is quite narrow but we didn't come across any other traffic during our stay, although during busy times I would imagine a little care would be needed, but no more than any other lane in Cornwall.
