We enjoyed being able to take short drives to nature preserves, lighthouses and historic sites. The view from the deck is gorgeous. We were very fortunate to have a week of mostly dry weather to enjoy some relaxing time on the deck. The view of Penobscot Bay is wonderful. The local seafood restaurants are excellent! Every morning we got up to see the sunrise over the harbor and went into town for breakfast or a lobster roll at Claws or McLoons (both outstanding!!).The owners are sweet, they came to greet us. The cottage was a great place to spend a quiet week exploring the mid-coast area of Maine. It provided all that my wife and I needed to serve as base camp for our stay, from linens to lobster pots, it was all there. The view of Penobscot Bay and Owls Head was incredible! Coupled with the ability to dine outside each evening while watching the ships go by in the harbor; priceless. The nearby attractions kept us plenty busy and we got to see many of the nearby quant villages and shops.
