Clean rooms with lots of nearby places to walk to. Our only concerns were the small size of the bathroom and the shower was a step in tub that could prove to be hazardous for people with mobility concerns.

We enjoyed our stay in the BW Royal Hotel in Caen. Friendly but professional staff. Nice breakfast. Good location and within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants etc. and for visiting other parts of Normandy. Free Parking Voucher for Car Park. Would recommend

This checked many things, like easy parking, conveniently located in the middle of town with plenty of restaurant choices. Make sure to reserve a table in town for dinner. Caen has great ublic transportation. The roooms were clean and the reception was very helpful when we had questions. As usual in France, if you speak French, you will have it a little easier. Breakfast offered great choices.

Worth booking.
The room was fine, a little cramped in the bathroom and at the back of the hotel so no view from the window just the back of buildings however the bed was comfortable and clean, air conditioning worked and the staff made up for the rest, the picture is not what to expect, parking nearby and easy to use, breakfast is continental buffet with scrambled egg as the only hot item. That said as a base it is fine.

The bed was comfortable. There was abundant and immediately available hot water in the shower. The staff was very helpful and congenial. I appreciated the emphasis on sustainability and saving water, electricity, etc. Everything was excellent!

This is a very good three star property. Though the bedroom was a bit bare, the beds were very clean and comfortable and the bathroom was very good. This hotel has an excellent location a short stroll from several good restaurants and brasseries. Moreover, all the cultural attractions are within a 15 to 20 minute walk (except the Memorial Museum, which lies outside of town). There is an excellent parking garage right in front of the hotel (under the Place de la Republique. Highly recommend this property.

Great location in old town Caen. Loved the hotel and room. Only down side was our room smelled bad… the rest of the hotel smelled good so I think maybe the carpet had water damage maybe at some point. But the room was very clean and comfy. We slept great
