Tasteful, fresh 3BR on quiet street in Calumet Welcome to our newly renovated and charming home nestled on a quiet street in the heart of Calumet. We preserved the character of this old home while making modern upgrades to create an inviting retreat for your getaway. Here, you'll have easy access to local coffee shops, eateries, outdoor adventure and cultural attractions. Whether you're seeking adventure or looking to unwind while in town for business or college functions, our home is the perfect spot for your unforgettable stay. We just completed renovating this entire home. It's the last home on a quiet street with neighbors on one side and a yard on the other. The three seasons porch welcomes you into the fresh, airy first floor. The cozy living room has a large flatscreen TV, which leads into a dining area that is open to the kitchen and an island with stools. There is a half-bath, enclosed back porch (ideal for winter gear, jackets, and outdoor adventure gear) and a laundry room all off of the back of the kitchen. The upstairs is all freshly carpeted and painted with a full bathroom and three simple but tasteful bedrooms. Two bedrooms have queen beds, and the third has a full. Bordering the yard is a slow street, with the snowmobile trail just beyond that. I could not have been more pleased with this rental. Great location, just a few minute walk to the heart of Calumet. It's also a short drive to several historical sites to the north and south. It was very clean as well. Short walk to 5th and 6th Street downtown. We grabbed ice cream with our kids the first night and Pizza the second night. We loved the copper history including the township museum and the National Parks visitor center. It's a remote town, but you can visibly capture it's Copper days glory with all the beautiful old church buildings downtown (among others). There are certainly parts of the town that are abandoned and run down, but this helps to reveal Calumets American story and change over time. Also within 45 minutes of many great Keewenaw sites and small towns. Caught some local Brook Trout in nearby rivers as well. Definitely plan to go back with family. ##### John H. It was comfortable and had nearly everything we needed. My wife suggested maybe having a blow dryer would be nice but it was not a problem at all. Everything looked and worked great. I had read other reviews noting that the property across the street was pretty blighted, and that was indeed the case, but don’t let that stop you. The location was quiet and felt safe. It was a great home base for exploring everything the Keweenaw has to offer, from Houghton to Copper Harbor. Overall, a good value for the price.Thank you for an excellent stay! ##### Dan R. The town it is in has seen better days. The house across the street has a bit of a junkyard feel (broken-down cars and trash).
