Needed a quiet, comfortable place to stay near Pineville during a recent visit with my son. This cottage perfectly suited the bill. Good location with everything I needed. Easily made myself right at home. Great back patio setup!Great location for all water activities.Washer and dryer would be a good consideration.
Our family stayed here for a norfork lake trip. The house had everything we needed for our trip. It was 3 miles from the lake. Hosts were good with communication. We already have another trip booked here!
Great spot. Enjoyed hanging outback in the evening letting the pup run around. Had everything we needed and nothing we didnt. Perfect spot if youre bringing a dog. Plenty of outside room to roam. Indoor space was just enough for what she and I needed to break away from the grind for a bit.
No complaints at all.
Our stay at the cottage was very comfortable. I always worry about the beds as both my husband and I have back issues. No worries there!!! We felt safe and it was so convenient to all our contacts there. We did not bring our computer, but connected to the Wi Fi on our phone with no issues at all. This little place is so clean and private!! Contact the the owners was great on our computer, with no issues. I loved the wildlife and trees. We had ample towels, toilet paper and paper towels and some spices and cooking oil. We did great with this cottage. Loved it!!!
From the moment we arrived at Chris and Stacy’s cottage, I knew we were in for a special weekend. It’s hard to capture just how wonderful our stay was in a single sentence. The cottage itself is incredibly cozy and well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. After a long Friday drive, we were exhausted, but those foam mattresses delivered the best night’s sleep. The next morning, we realized we’d forgotten our coffee, but to our delight, the cottage had a fully stocked coffee shelf with a Keurig and a great selection of K-cups. That first cup on Saturday morning was a lifesaver! The peaceful setting, far from traffic and noise, made it easy to unwind.Saturday evening, we gathered around the fire pit and grilled dinner under the stars, pure relaxation. The Smart TV made it easy to log into our favorite streaming services that night, and the Wi-Fi was strong and reliable throughout our stay.Location-wise, the cottage couldn’t be better, as it is just minutes from Norfork Dam. We spent time exploring the river below the dam and wandered through the nearby RV park. Right across the street from the dam is a fish hatchery and a beautiful creek that feeds into the Norfork River. We also took a scenic drive north to Bull Shoals Lake and explored a nearby cavern—an easy and enjoyable adventure.Chris and Stacy were fantastic hosts—attentive, responsive, and genuinely kind. We're already talking about a return trip someday.
This little farmhouse was perfect for my husband and me! It’s updated so nicely-we loved the attention to the original design from the floors to the ceilings. The queen bed was very comfortable. The added touches such as the ice maker, Keurig coffee maker and extras made it feel like home. I had forgotten my hair dryer and I was so thankful to find one in the bathroom!! There was a very nice gas grill and patio table and chairs out back. It’s very private with a nice yard surrounded by thick trees. We saw rabbits and deer in the backyard!! We fished the North Fork River and caught several beautiful rainbow trout and had a blast!! Thank you Chris and Stacy! You were fantastic hosts!!
Nice quiet stay for me, my son and my farther in law. We had fun fishing the lake and driving to Mountain Home to do stuff. House was very clean and the beds were very comfortable.
I could not be more pleased with our stay here. It’s the cutest little farm house, and it’s so peaceful. Great for getting away to recharge. The Jensen’s have been wonderful hosts. 10/10 would stay again.
I had a really good stay at this cottage. It was very clean. All the updates were really nice that have been done to the house. I will suggest updating the furniture. Maybe putting a couch in the living room or a couch with a bed so that a few more people could enjoy this cottage too. Families may be bigger than just four people and there is room in this cottage for bigger families if allowed. The patio area was great for cooking on the grill. My trip was about family friends and relaxation and I definitely accomplished all those things while staying here.
Enjoyed a very nice 2 night stay. Interior is clean and well stocked. The yard was large enough for our dogs to explore. As the host points out, there is some traffic on the road so use caution with your pets. Loved the covered front porch and patio in back. Close to marina and small swimming area. 7 miles to Salesville, 9 miles to Norfork and 15 miles to Mountain Home.
I’ve seen the entire state and most of the surrounding states as well. Lived in the ocean for awhile too. Though I haven’t seen anywhere as beautiful as this part of the state. The house is awesome. I like the way it’s been restored. You can tell the second you walk in that the house has a history. The cows across the road reminded me of home. If you need to get away from your daily life. This is the place. This house should be the first step to take when you plan your vacation.
