"I will gladly recommend this property to anyone looking for a stay over near the capitol. Rosia the proprietress couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. When my original flight was cancelled she had no hesitation whatsoever in moving the reservation over to my new arrival date. She was also helpful with arranging my visit to LaPaz, which was magnificent. The restaurant she recommended, ‘Mirror Of The Valley’, within walking distance, was also wonderful. If I could give her (and her daughters) 10 stars I would gladly do so. Frankly I’m hopeful that the occasion presents itself that I could stay with them again … I would not hesitate for a second. So my ‘sombrero’ is off to Loma Tranquilla and wish them great success in the years to come! Muchas gracias! "

"Clean and comfortable room. Hundreds of wild parrots outside drown out airplane traffic. Bar and restaurant are good, but not special. Service was outstanding. Convenient if you want to drop off a rental car early. I walked back from Budget they take drops onsite for several brands. Pilots stay there."

"Loved the hotel and had a wonderful stay—so unique with a Costa Rican vibe and the architecture is reminiscent of Frank Loyd Wright in how the hotel merges with nature and its surroundings. Our room had hand painted murals—as does the rest of the hotel—a sitting room and a patio with a gorgeous view of San Jose. The restaurant had great food and top-notch service and we also enjoyed the coffee farm tour. The pool is equally as magical. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable experience in Costa Rica. "This is a huge master suite inside the owners' home. They are super-friendly, and allowed us to check in early as our flight into San Jose landed in the morning. As an unexpected bonus, we got to see a beautiful sunset right from the unit, overlooking the Central Valley. Convenient starting point for tours to Volcan Poas and other points north. Do bring night eye covers, as the unit becomes very bright in the morning."
