Absolutely cracking place to stay in Beddgelert. We were right beside a narrow gauge railway (The Welsh Highland Railway (WHR) or Rheilffordd Eryri) and had the River Glaslyn and the grave of Gelert on the other side. The one bedroom holiday cottage has a landscaped enclosed garden which is great for the dog, and also stops the sheep coming in. The cottage has got a woodburning stove, but also C.H. too which gets toasty inside pretty quickly. It has an dedicated integral laundry/drying room, which is a very handy piece of kit when you get back soaked from a walk in the countryside. Really fantastic week here in Cil Y Felin. The cottage itself is wonderful and the owners Steve, Allison and Floyd the dog are very welcoming yet unobtrusive. The garden was safely enclosed for our dog and a lovely place to sit in the sunshine with a gorgeous view of the mountains. We particularly love this area in Wales and the cottage is perfectly placed for access to both sea and mountains. We look forward to returning next year.
