    Our host was great, the cottage was as advertised and very comfortable. We had a great time and enjoyed the lake views especially at sunset. The welcome gifts were appreciated. There were a couple of small issues that were quickly resolved. Awesome host!!!!!!

    My family and I had the BEST time at Polly’s lake house! The house was beautiful and was super clean! It had the most beautiful views, and the kayaking was the icing on the cake! Highly recommend for a relaxing weekend!

    My husband and I recently stayed at this property for 4 nights and it was wonderful. Everything is clean and nice with lots of special little touches. The cottage, the view, check in, and communication with the owner was all 5 stars. I highly recommend this property and hope to stay again in the future, perfect getaway!!

    My wife and I made our first visit to Lake Barkley while staying at this wonderful home. Polly is an excellent host and everything about her home was above and beyond expectations. I cannot imagine a more perfect spot on the lake for a relaxing weekend.

    I had the opportunity to stay in this cottage for a weekend prior to my 50th birthday. The place was clean, user friendly, has lots of nice amenities, and has a beautiful view of the lake and stars. It was a very peaceful and relaxing weekend.     If you want peace and quiet, this is the place!! Cute furninshings, large TVs , kitchen had all we needed, lots of towels, covered parking, nice chairs on the deck and plenty of wildlife viewing. Polly, thanks for checking in on us during our stay. We loved it!!

    Beautiful cottage on the lake

    I was looking for a nice place to stay around the land between the lakes area. This place did not disappoint. Everything was immaculate! The lake view was stunning. We had fresh fruit, a few little snacks and drinks and a nice welcome gift waiting for us when we arrived. I really appreciated that extra touch. I definitely recommend this propeety. property!

    Host was amazing, they have thought of everything! Cottage was super clean, bed was comfortable. We only got to stay for 2 nights. My husband and I relaxed and got some much needed rest. Neighbor hood was quiet. We loved watching the boats and barges from the back deck, which is amazing. You will not be disappointed.

    Amazing views

    The lake house is beautiful, clean, new and filled with everything you need. The deck overlooking the lake was perfect to see the beautiful sunsets. Polly, the host is amazing with communication. The welcome gifts and hospitality she shown was a great touch. She thought of everything. The restaurants are somewhat of a drive so my recommendation would be to eat at the house. Great set up for that and has a grill.

    Helluva View!

    The view of the lake from the backporch is outstanding. We loved watching the boats and barges pass by throughout the day. Very quiet location perfect to soak up some R&R. The morning and evening hours on the deck provided beautiful views of sun up and sundown. Very relaxing. The host was phenomenal as well. Very helpful, accommodating, and welcoming.. made us feel right at home. Went above and beyond welcoming us from our previous VRBO experiences. Very much appreciated. Bed was comfy; water pressure in shower was good, appliances new and in working condition. Very clean place. Overall, we had a fantastic weekend and would stay here again.

    Above and Beyond

    From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of this property. The open concept provides amazing panoramic views of the lake from each room in the house. The hospitality of the hosts is second to none. Their attention to detail and the special little touches like supplying fresh fruit, water, juices, and a warm welcome package ensures their guests feel right at home! The house is inviting and relaxing with all the modern conveniences. Be sure to brew yourself a cup of coffee to watch the sunrise peak through the trees from the front of the property or pour a nightcap and sit out on the back deck to watch the colorful sunset over the lake.We could not say enough great things about the house or the hosts to do it justice. You'll just have to visit for yourself! The weather turned while we were there and we, unfortunately, had to cut our trip short to return home. The owners we extremely responsive of the situation and kept our safety as a priority. They informed us that there was a storm shelter at the property and even offered to refund the remaining days if we needed to leave early. The genuine kindness and understanding from our hosts was so appreciated! We can't wait to make a return trip and spend a little more time here. The house, the hosts- truly above and beyond what we would have imagined. Ten out of ten for sure!

    The perfect little cottage to get away from it all! Cozy comfort with spectacular views of the lake from every room! We wanted a peaceful place to relax and do a little hiking, and this place was wonderful for both. We will be back!
