A wood burning, stone fireplace graces the 18 x 24 foot family room. A large dining/kitchen area features a generous kitchen island, oak hardwood floors and overlooks Pleasant Lake. Tiled flooring covers the back entry, main floor bath and laundry room. One bedroom with two twin beds and a study complete the main floor plan. An open staircase leads upstairs to three bedrooms and two more full baths. The master bedroom is a generous sized room with a king size bed. The ensuite features a Jacuzzi tub. The finished lower floor offers ping pong, foosball, a card table, a gas fireplace as well as an 18 x 24 bedroom and a full bath. The lower floor has a sliding glass door that exits to the lakeside. Swim, kayak, paddle board or fish on the lake from May to September. Listen for the call of the loons early in the morning, for the croak of the frogs in the evening, or watch the eagles soar above the north side of the lake on a warm night. Gather around a bonfire at the end of the day to relax and gaze at the stars. Watch for deer moving through the trees down to the lake to drink or gaze at the glorious array of colors during the fall. Ice fish, skate, cross country ski or snowmobile on the hard ice or snow during the cold winter days. Scavenge for mushrooms in the surrounding forests by Mesick during the spring time. There are many outdoor activities for families, groups and couples to enjoy in the Cadillac area. Amenities at the Pleasant Lake Residence include three kayaks, two paddle boards, a small fishing boat, and a handful of sleds. In the greater Cadillac area, there are a variety of activities for all seasons and age groups. Caberfae Peaks Ski and Golf Resort is 20 miles from the property. Crystal Mountain Resort Ski and Golf Resort is 30 miles from the property. Popular golf courses include the Eldorado Golf Course and the Evergreen. The Manistee, Muskegon and Pine Rivers all have canoe liveries for hours of fun by raft, kayak or canoe. Adventure Island on M115 offers go carts, batting cages, bummer boats, mini golf, a water slide, an arcade and ice cream. The White Pine Trail offers a paved trail for bicycling from Cadillac to Tustin. Five miles due west of the Pleasant Lake Residence is a trail head for miles of snowmobile trails. The Gopherwood Society holds folksy music performances at the Elks Lodge in downtown Cadillac during the school year. We loved the kayaks and paddle boards and the little beach area was perfect for the two kiddos ages 4 and 6\. We enjoyed meals together at the large dinning room table as well as the large picnic tables on the deck. We enjoyed many day trips (1 hour away) to Frankfort, Old Mission peninsula and Elk Rapids along with blueberry picking and Mitchell state park that were about 15 minutes away. We also enjoyed the wide variety of board games provided We would definitely come back and we will recommend this house to other family members!😊 ##### Jon R. This was the third time that our group has stayed in this lovely, accommodating property. We were 8 adults this time but we've had up to 11 people (including 2 teens) previously and always found the house spacious and comfortable. Albertena is a gracious, helpful host. The kitchen, dining and living areas have great flow and the game area downstairs was a blast. Nice to see some soft, furnishing changes and the basement fireplace since our last visit.. a really great stay! Much as we love winter activity here, we really must come back and experience it during warmer seasons as the lake looks like it could be great fun. Thanks again, Albie! ##### Jeffrey C. We visited with two sets of grandparents, 2 adults and 3 children ages 4 to 7\. It was perfect in the following ways: - kitchen so well appointed we cooked and served a variety of meals; large pans, quantities of tableware and glassware - easy to cook together as a group with large kitchen island - indoor table that easily held our group of 10 - outdoor picnic table seating for 12-14 with umbrellas - additional seating on large deck - huge fire pit for adult fires after bedtime, wood and fire starters provided - sand beach, shallow water up to dock - great fishing off dock for little ones and grandfather - kayaks for 2 people, small size for kids - nice lawn for play - two living rooms so kids had an art/play center - bedrooms for all, no parents had to sleep with kids - plenty of bathrooms, toilet paper for the week - great, thick towels - plenty of contact with owner prior and during stay; very open to help with anything We had an incredible week--Cadillac has great things to do, good parks for playgrounds, bike trail, hikes and restaurants when we didn't want to cook. Each year our family stays at a rental home where we can gather and spend time together. This was a perfect location. The home was clean and neat with a well equipped kitchen. The host was quick to respond to any request. We enjoyed fishing, the use of the kayaks as well as the row boat. Two comments for other renters: First the grill is a charcoal grill and requires preparing a fire (a starter can would be useful). If you are used to a gas grill this a bit different. The other item: using a walker or wheel chair confines a person to the first floor and deck. Access to the second floor or the bottom floor is not really possible and access to the lake is difficult at best. Our time was spent cooking, eating, napping, enjoying each other’s company, sitting by the beach and kayaking. It was a perfect location for our activities and we would recommend it highly. We have rented many VRBO properties and this one is near the top of the list. ##### Joseph K.
