The bare rock walls of the kitchen and bathroom gave character and the host was welcoming and friendly. Only one bar in the village, which was closed for 3 of our nights, but provided a good meal on our arrival day. Eine in der Nacht geborstene Wasserleitung hat er rasch ersetzt und das Wasser, das Treppe, Wohnraum und Küche überschwemmte, notdürftig ausgeschaufelt, uns aber danach in der nassen und verschmutzten Wohnung mit der Bemerkung "nun sei alles wieder in Ordnung" sitzen lassen; kein Bedauern des Ungemachs, keine Gesprächsbereitschaft und kein Alternativangebot: uns blieb nichts anderes übrig als die Ferien abzubrechen. Unsere Forderung, das Ungemach und unseren Schaden (durchnässter Bücher, Fotoapparat und E-Reader) durch Rückerstattung der 3 restlichen Tage auszugleichen, verweigerte er lautstark; die Verabschiedung blieb unerwidert.Fazit: Wohnung für kleineweltoffene und überraschungstolerante Feriengäste empfehlenswert. Wir haben 11 wunderbare, erlebnisreiche und erholsame Spätsommertage genossen, die restlichen 3 vergessen wir! Lautrey, der nebenan wohnt. Er hat gute Tipps für die nähere und weitere Umgebung. Fragen Sie ihn, er kennt sich aus. Das Haus liegt in einem gemütlichen kleinen Dorf. In der Nähe des Hauses gibt es seit neuestem eine Bäckerei. Eine Kelterei und ein kleines einfaches Restaurant sind auch zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Bei Hitze ist es im Erdgeschoss sehr schön kühl, an Regentagen aber natürlich etwas kalt. Es gibt viele Reisführer im Haus und auch für kleine Kinder gibt es eine Spielzeugkiste. Un grand living, la cuisine ainsi que les toilettes et la salle de bain sont complètement dans la roche ce qui donne à cette maison un charme fou. les chambes à coucher ont tout ce qu'il faut pour y être heureux. Sehr netter Empfang durch den Besitzer, sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Der Vermieter wohnt nicht weit weg und wäre immer ansprechbar gewesen (Sprachkenntnisse wären ein Vorteil, da er nur Französisch spricht). Die Beschreibung und Fotos der Unterkunft entsprachen 100% der Webseite!!! Diese ausgefallene Unterkunft bietet ein besonderes Wohnerlebnis. Für hervorragendes Essen zu einem guten Preis können wir im Nachbarort Cucuron das Restaurant „Le 20 Gourmet“ sehr empfehlen!!! Auch der Ort lädt zum Verweilen ein. Das gesamte Badezimmer und Teile von Küche und Wohnzimmer verfügen über Wände und Decke aus Naturfels, teils ergänzt durch historisches Mauerwerk. Dadurch ergibt sich eine ganz besondere, authentische Atmosphäre. Um diese historischen Felsen und Wände herum hat Guy das Haus liebevoll renoviert und eingerichtet. Es ist alles da, um sich rundum wohl zu fühlen: Im Erdgeschoss betritt man das Haus durch eine gläserne Terrassentür und befindet sich dann gleich im Wohn- und Essbereich. Hier stehen zwei Sofas und ein Sessel (eines der Sofa kann auch als Bett genutzt werden) und ein großer Esstisch. Hinter dem Esstisch befindet sich die Küche, die mit Herd, Backofen, Mikrowelle, zwei Kaffeemaschinen (1x Padmaschine, 1x Filtermaschine), Wasserkocher, Toaster und viel Geschirr und Besteck sehr gut ausgestattet ist. Neben dem großen Raum ist ein kleines Gäste-WC. Vom Wohnzimmer aus geht die Treppe nach oben, auf halber Höhe ist das Badezimmer in der Höhle, mit zwei Waschbecken, Dusche, Badewanne und WC und viel Stauraum. In einem kleinen abgetrennten Wandschrank befindet sich die Waschmaschine. Noch eine halbe Treppe höher sind die beiden Schlafzimmer, beide sehr schön eingerichtet und mit genügend Platz in Schrank bzw. Kommode und Regal. Die Zimmer sind durch die Fensterläden und / oder Vorhänge gut abzudunkeln und durch die gute Isolierung der Fenster ist von draußen fast nichts zu hören. Das Bett im kleineren Schlafzimmer, in dem wir geschlafen haben, ist sehr bequem. Unten vor der Eingangstür ist über die ganze Breite des Hauses eine schmale Terrasse, hier hat man bis um die Mittagszeit Sonne, so dass wir auch im März schon jeden Tag draußen frühstücken konnten. Vor dem Haus verläuft die Straße zum Hauptplatz des Dorfes, wo es eine nette Bar mit Restaurant gibt und dahinter einen winzigen Laden, wo man das Nötigste an Lebensmitteln bekommt. Gegenüber des Hauses ist ein großer Parkplatz, wo das Auto dauerhaft geparkt werden kann. Wir waren eine Woche in Cabrières und haben uns sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich und die Terrasse davor ermöglicht es, bei gutem Wetter immer draußen zu sitzen. Durch die Nähe zur Bar und die Straße (die nicht laut ist, da es keine Durchgangsstraße ist), ist man mitten im Dorfleben. Guy, der Vermieter, lebt gleich nebenan und ist immer zu erreichen, falls es Fragen oder Probleme gibt. Vielen Dank für einen tollen Urlaub!!! ##### Birgit R. Das Haus war sauber und die Ausstattung von Küche und Badezimmer ausreichend. Das Aber: Wir wollten einen ruhigen Urlaub verbringen und das geschmackvoll eingerichtete Häuschen mit seinen Grotten lud dazu ein, und auch die Lage im kleinen Örtchen. Was uns aber bei der Buchung verschwiegen wurde: vom 12\. bis 17\. August findet die jähliche Kirmes 300 m Luftlinie vom Schlafzimmerfenster entfernt statt. Die Livemusik überlaut begann jeweils um 22:00 Uhr bis 02:00\. An Schlafen nicht zu denken. MItfeiern ist auch nur an einem Abend lustig. Nur in den beiden letzten Nächten fanden iwr die ersehnte Ruhe. Diese Einschränkung erst bei der Anreise zu erfahren, gehört nicht zu einem gewissenhaften Vermieter, auch nicht, in der Anzeige stehen zu haben, es gäbe Fahrräder, die dann nicht zur Verfügung stehen und auch nicht, in die Anzeige zu schreiben, Bettwäsche und Handtücher seien im Preis inbegriffen und dann pro Person 15 € zusätzlich zu fordern. Also: im Prinzip gut, aber die Einschränkungen, die wir hatten, haben unsere Freude stark getrübt. Unser Rat: Lesen Sie die Anzeige übergenau und fragen Sie nach, um nicht enttäuscht zu werden. Sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Vermieter, der mich in das Leben in Cabriéres-d´Aigues eingeführt hat und auch zum Petanque geladen hat. Ich hatte jede Menge Spaß und kurzweil! Trotz des Parkplatzes gegenüber haben wir die ganzen Nächte sehr gut geschlafen. Für einen Urlaub von einer Woche sehr zu empfehlen. Ich als Architekt war natürlich von der "Hausgrotte" sehr begeistert. Bei 35 Grad, nach einem langen Tag in das Haus zu kommen und angenehme Temperaturen zu spüren war nur GUT! Alles, vorhanden was benötigt wird und jeder von Zuhause gewohnt ist. Die kleine Patio ist Geschmacksache, aber wir fanden sie toll...wir hatten am Leben in dem Dorf dadurch teil genommen!!! Wir werden das Haus wieder für einen Kurzurlaub buchen, wenn wir - so haben wir dies dem Vermieter versprochen - besser französisch gelernt haben!!!!
