Buttermilk Falls

The rooms was terrible. I had to go to Walmart and get lysol for smell and clorox

Charlotte at the front desk and the good coffee was the best part of our stay. Checkin time is at 3:00 but our room was not ready. We never got check in until 6:00 without any compensation for our troubles. There were 2 other couples who could not get check in because the rooms had not been cleaned yet and there were no clean towels! She called the manager, James Ballard and he would not even come in to help with the problem!!! The room had missing lamp shades, cracked window blinds, and dirty windows. None of the cleaning staff could speak English when I ask for extra coffee for my room. The first day I asked the front desk and they said they didn't have any either. Huge gameroom for the kids but just a way for them to make money. No exhaust fan in the bathroom and the towels are small and rough! Stay somewhere else!!

We drove 2 days to get to The Best western in Plattsburgh, NY. We got to the hotel at 2 pm.and asked to check in. The clerk told us check in time was 4 pm. We told him that we had traveled from Georgia. He told us that if we wanted to check in early there would be a $25.00 fee. We have arrived at other hotels before scheduled check in times and have been accommodated. By telling us that we could check in early for a fee let us know that there were rooms ready and by arriving early the customer would be penalized. Luckily we had someplace to go for the 2 hours. I will definitely think twice before I consider Best Western again if that is how they treat travelers. The Clerck was also showed no emotions was cold and unfriendly when talking to us. He was there 2 hour later when we checked in.
