Very fancy shower room but no shelves for shampoo and soup inside and hand shower just drops on the floor. Also no free bottles of water. Location is very good. There are no bar or restaurant in the hotel.

Helpful staff saved the day
Nice hotel that has recently been re-furbished and has an excellent SPA, but you MUST book in advance. We didn't and couldn't use it. Staff were so helpful though trying to make up for disappointment.

Nice clean hotel in Vichy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved that they had a list of local restaurants with traditional food from the region. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Hotel is a little old but still pleasant to be in. The spa was great - 1 hour in the hot tub, sauna, and steam room for two people only 25 euros - great deal! Would recommend this hotel if you are stopping in Vichy.

It was great there. Our room was great. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and made great recommendations. The hydromassage and massage were excellent. I was very impressed. I would absolutely stay there again.

The front desk lady at night and the gentleman in the morning super nice. Sadly we had to move 4 times that night because the overall AC was not working 28 degrés!!!!!!!!! But after 90 minutes we got a cold room that had it’s own AC unit.and they offer us breakfast ! We got lucky the hotel was not very busy.

For us this was an over-night transit stop. We were delighted by the high standard of our room - very clean and fresh, albeit a little compact. The bathroom had a modern multi-function shower which was a delight. The hotel has secure parking off-site which is essential in this residential area of town (if you are driving). The breakfast buffet selection was very good.

We have been to Vichy before but preferred the area this hotel was in. The room was very comfortable overlooking a quiet square and was laid out very well with an excellent shower room. We were in a junior suite which gave us the extra space and was not expensive

Fine for a 1 night stopover
We stayed here for 1 night on route to the Dordogne. We thought Vichy sounded a nice place to visit, but in reality it is a tired looking spa town - ok for 1 night. The Hotel was being refurbished so it's hard to review - the room was fine and staff courteous.

Family friendly hotel, centrally located
A beautiful exterior gives way to a plainer interior but our family room was spacious with a large double and two single beds, compact ensuite and walk in wardrobe. Very friendly helpful staff. Parking with a security barrier was available just across the street. Despite some nervousness about the one way system, we approached via the Pont de Bellerive, continued along Avenue Aristide Briand and turned right off Route Source de l'Hopital and found it easily. Had a lovely afternoon exploring Vichy and dined at a local Pizzeria (not on the recommended restaurant list from the hotel but enjoyable and good value)

The hotel is very handy for the city centre and has nearby free parking. It is not encosed but you do have to go through a barrier to get in. Very convenient but of course you would not leave anything valuable in the car. The room was clean and comportable and the staff at reception were unfailingly polite and helpful. There were a couple of problems which they dealt with as well as anyone could. There was no hot water in the morning - inquiries were made and it turned out this was due to a technical problem beyond their control. They offered to let us stay longer so that we could have a shower when the problem was fixed. This was not possible but we appreciated the thought - and the fact that they did not charge us for drinks ordered the night before by way of compensation. Also there was a problem with their credit card machine. It kept on declining our credit cards. They went to great lengths to phone the company and eventually established that the problem was with their machine and they then carried out the transaction by phone. I believe that neither problem was their fault and we very much appreciated the way they resolved the difficulties.

A great find in Vichy, France
Hotel De Grignan was a wonderful place to stay in Vichy. We were there for the Opera and it was located just a few blocks away with several good restaurants nearby. The hotel staff spoke English, which was a great help to us. They even planned out a personal walking tour map for us. Everything to see was within walking distance of the hotel. The room was a bit small but had great storage, a good bathroom with a shower and a great balcony. We would definitely stay there again and we will recommend this hotel to friends! Merci Hotel Grignan!
