"The house is wonderful and accommodated our party of 10 perfectly. The listing doesn’t do it justice, it was even nicer than expected. The large walk-in pantry off the kitchen was fantastic, and the generous mudroom at the front of the house was especially appreciated for our snowmobile and ski gear. Overall, the home was very clean, well maintained, and everything was updated and in good working order.That said, the stay would have been even more comfortable with a few additional basic supplies for guests. Each bathroom had only one roll of toilet paper, which went quickly with a group of 10 staying four days. While the house book notes that guests should purchase more if needed, it would have been nice not to have to make extra trips, especially since we were visiting over a holiday and finding open stores was challenging. Similarly, coffee filters were not provided, and there’s no way to know in advance what type to bring. It was frustrating to wake up and not be able to make coffee without another store run, and then be left with unused filters afterward. We also initially found only six bath towels for our group, though we later found additional towels in the dryer after purchasing more. There was just one trash bag and one dishwasher pod, which meant frequent handwashing with a full house.These were minor inconveniences overall, but they do stand out when you’re on vacation and already investing in a larger rental. Lovely stay overall. We would book again. "

"A very nice house for a family to stay for skiing, trips to Petosky or Mackinaw. Stayed during the winter during several inches of snow falling, no issues with the street or driveway being cleared. Close to many restaurant & grocery options."

"This was probably the most peaceful experience of my life. It was off season and i was the only one there. I swam, sat in the hot tub, ran on the North Central Trail had fires and read books. Absolutely wonderful"

"We were not clear about the lakefront association and what we had access to, including the dock and other shared amenities. We were unclear where to deposit trash, which was a large, commercial dumpster at the end of the road. There was no lighting to read in bed and no bedside table or shelf over the beds for personal items, like eyeglasses. The cottage was cozy. It is a great place for base camp. If you are planning on lots of food preparation, this is not the kitchen for you. We stayed in October and it was very quiet. Heats quickly in cooler weather. Lovely shower and lots of glorious hot water. On our guide to the cottage, it mentioned that rentals may be placed on the market and we may be informed of a potential showing. Enjoyed the Roku movies. Couch was comfortable and a footstool would have really improved our stay. Great, new fridge with an ice maker! "
