"Nothing at all wrong with the hotel. Clean, nice views of garden, huge bed. It was the noise of the other guests that kept me awake after deciding that 11:30 at night was the best time to have a loud pointless conversation on the landing. Hotel was fine and i had no issues with it. Staff are very helpful and polite. Would stay with them again if i have to."

"Terrible check in experience. The hotel said they didn’t have my hotel.com booking (I had booked around 4 hours earlier). Receptionist was very unfriendly and extremely unhelpful. The lady at reception didn’t offer any advice other than to buy a new room and left me sat in reception for an hour whilst I tried to contact hotels.com on the phone, she didn’t offer me even the glint of a smile, a glass of water, an apology, nothing, instead she treated me like I was trying to steal a free nights stay even though I had a confirmation email with all details on. Terrible customer service experience. I booked this hotel specifically because it had a gym which I didn’t get to use as it had closed by the time I got to my room. A smile and a “don’t worry we’ll help sort it” would have gone a very long way. Lacking some very basic customer service skills. "

"Staff were excellent, immediately gave me another room when there was a problem with my initial room on check in. Also, all staff a ted in a professional manner when the hotel had to be evacuated after the roofers started a small fire... I was even directed to a nearby pub for lunch whilst waiting for the fire service to give the all clear, that they said the hotel would refund. I would have taken them up on it, if I hadn't already eaten. All in all good hotel with exceptional staff.."

"Nice friendly staff the room was nice basic breakfast the dinner was average free carparking nice swimming pool and spa was cold not heating up sauna and steam room was working. "

"The breakfast was fresh and good standard. Sausages were nice and a level above the usual catering tat you usually get at hotels. Staff were good and pleasant. The actual booking and stay was a SHAMBLES. The hotel had OVERBOOKED THEMSELVES. I had booked a room with a queen bed and the room was given to another customer before I got there. That’s completely wrong and disgusting. Also it’s very incompetent of a hotel to overbook themselves. I am not comfortable in a single bed, which is what I was given. I would think twice about staying here again after the utter mess up of this. I only booked a night and a large, comfortable bed and I didn’t have a comfortable night at all. The Holiday Inn would be where I’d choose to stay another time. "

"The staff and food could not have been better but our Classic double room left a lot to be desired!! The bathroom was very poor and the extractor sounded like a tractor, therefore you couldn't put the light on in the bathroom during the night if you needed the toilet ( had to use the torch on our phones). Also as the toilet was under the eaves and my husband is six foot tall, he found using it awkward!! The towels were lovely n clean but the shower cubicle was not. We would go back but not in a classic double room."

"Parking is limited but easy to get too. Linen nice and clean, towels and bedding. Tea and coffee provided in room. Only problem is that twice we have visited the hotel recently and had problems with the shower, no cold water therefore water was too hot, and previously shower handle broke off. First time another room was provided, second time offered a change of room or a room for a shower, staff offered a solution. All staff very friendly. "
