I stayed at this hotel for my first trip to Mayo Clinic. The hotel has an hourly shuttle that is convenient. You can also catch the quarter-hour shuttle at St. Mary's (across the street) if you're mobile. The hotel is very casual. It's hard to figure out where to enter; I had parked and tried to get in a door that was only accessible to people with key cards; since the signage on that street indicated the hotel was *there*, that's where I tried to go in. My room was large and clean. It had a living area, as well as a cooking area with cooktop, microwave, full sized fridge (which I needed on this trip) and dishwasher. The bathroom space was broken up into the sink/closet area and then the "WC" (water closet) where the toilet and shower were. In other words, if you're with someone else and they're in the shower, you might have to wait to pee. The front desk staff were about 50/50 in terms of their knowledge and interest in their work. There's a little "market" area where you can get snacks, but it's not self serve, so if the front desk is busy it may take a while to check out your items.

Well, when we pulled in the parking lot, it’s just an absolutely beautiful place really nice. And when I walked inside, I thought a oh boy my husband and I have hit the jackpot. This is absolutely breathtaking. OK the room was nice. It was tiny, but very nice looking the problems I had were. There was no room to put anything. There was no desk. There was no chest of drawers. There was no table. There was one small computer chair. That was the only place to sit in the whole room other than the bed there was one very narrow, small bench pushed up against the wall to set a suitcase. I have a very small traveling suitcase that fits on the plane. OK not a giant one. And it barely held that it did have two sinks one in the hallway kind of by the front door and one in the bathroom, so that was very convenient the bathroom with the shower was absolutely beautiful. The shower was lovely and nice and spacious. It had glass doors and when you walked in, you had a motion sensor light, which was very nice. Other than that, I was very amazed there was nothing in it like a regular hotel room no place to put another suitcase The trash basket was about about as big as a loaf of bread. So there was no place to put anything we ordered out and got some food. We had to sit on the bed needed. The doors weighed 3000 pounds I couldn’t even open the door. The doors to the bathroom were the same way I got stuck in the bathroom couldn’t open the door and had to holler for my husband to open the door.

Clean, comfortable hotel in a great location. It’s surrounded by bars and restaurants. The parking garage attached to the hotel is not included in the nightly price but when we were there, it was only $16 for the night, not bad.
