Fantastic location to see Buenos Aires. The apartment was restored over 9 months to reclaim the grand living at the beginning of the 1900s. No expense was spared to recreate the rich feeling with the imported wood while still modernizing the kitchen and bathrooms. Weekly maid service included for longer stays. Furniture and linen upgrades were done in May 2022\. Flexible check in and check out times to match your flights are available. We also can recommend a driver to be waiting for you at the airport. Very high ceilings with ornate plaster work characterized by the wood detailing and original Pinotea Norwegian wooden floors which create a warm atmosphere. There is an entrance hall, separate lounge/living and dining room, a master bedroom with a luxury queen size mattress and bedding with an en-suite bathroom complete with Jacuzzi bathtub and shower. Second bathroom 'loft-style' above the kitchen with a double bed and a half-bathroom. Designer kitchen with gas stove, dishwasher and refrigerator. Clothes washing machine as well. Living room has a Bose Wave stereo and cable TV with a Smart TV connected to the internet. High-speed wireless internet in the apartment. Mood lighting in every room. Air conditioned for summer and central heating (water forced radiators) in winter. The apartment is beautiful. The bed is comfortable. The kitchen and apartment are well equipped. The location is convenient to grocery stores, lots of shopping, two Subte stations, and even language schools. Dave and Miguel are both attentive and helpful. More relevant, perhaps, is that you could not wish for more attentive and helpful hosts than Dave and manager Miguel. Important to my wife and me, the firm bed was very comfortable, the WiFi was fast and reliable, the shower pressure great, the kitchen very adequate, and a good AC (summertime stay). There's a small grocery store two doors down, a nice cafe across the street. Dave and Miguel kept in touch through a group chat on Whatsapp and they were very responsive and helpful at every step. In a safe neighbourhood need to the underground and quiet enough for uber pickups we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Dave, the owner, gave us lots of helpful information and Miguel arranged an early check in and very early check out. Dave also arranged Hector, his trusted taxi driver to pick us up so we didn’t have to worry about getting a cab before 6am. The apartment is on the top floor and the quaint Parisian style cage lift was very reliable- just make sure you close both doors on entry and exit. We ate out on a couple of occasions but enjoyed the freedom of making our own food when we wanted to. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. It’s an easy and interesting walk to Recoleta Cemetery for a fascinating guided tour with Simon, an English guy who hangs out there every day. We also enjoyed exploring nearby Palermo Soho. Dave’s house book also has lots of tips. We wish we could have stayed longer than 4 nights. ##### Nancy H. It is on the 4th floor or a nice building with elevator. The apartment is very central, walking distance to almost everything, and in a very good neighborhood. It is close to Ave Santa Fe, so it is not quiet, if this is what you are looking for. The owner as well as local agent are great to work with and very responsive. The apartment is very well equipped with all you need, stable internet that allows working from there also (whereas the apt. is not set up with a desk or table to work from). Bedroom is to the courtyard and there was no noise. Owner left book with great recommendations for BA. If you want to visit BA for vacation, this is a great place to stay. ##### Kristin M. We loved staying there and would happily do so again. Both the owner and Miguel the manager are very nice. We were greeted with fresh fruit and water bottles. The actual flat is nicer than the photos show- high ceilings, much historical architectural interest. The owner has updated the primary bedroom with a new white duvet and matching white sheets. Please note the second bedroom and extra half bath are in an open loft above the kitchen which is accessible from some stairs which have no railing on the open side. Perfectly nice once you are up there but probably not for young children who might forget to tread them carefully. There is a wonderful produce grocery just next door and plenty of small other grocery stores around the neighborhood. The other residents of the building are very nice. The manager is wonderful, and helpful if and when things come up! There is a day book that gives you up to date information to make ones stay more comfortable! This apartment was the perfect one for me and my family when visiting our country. The location is perfect (not Recoleta as advertised, actually Palermo), near public transport and walking distance to a lot of restaurants, shopping mall and ant kind of shops. The building is a super quiet one, and the few neighboors we met were really nice with us. The apartment is super quiet, no noises from street or from neighbors, and you will find everything you will need to cook or have a breakfast. The internet was not working properly in the beginning but Miguel was super responsive and diligent to solve it. Even dough he was capable to find someone to come to fix it on January 1st!!! My only concern is the water heater, it doesn’t work properly and thet was frustrating. Impossible to have a good shower. Too hot or cold are the options if its working... if not working (most of the time) the only option is cold water, wich wasn’t a big deal because we were on Summer. I would rent it again if needed, I really love it!!! ##### Paula F. Perfect for a couple and room for 2 guests Gracious and genteel host. GREAT COMMUNICATION! Professional - always available by a text away- House Manager. Essential House Book provided. Fresh flowers everyhwere upon our arrival. We stayed for a whole MONTH in this 109 yr old building in Barrio Norte with lovely quiet polite neighbors. Great Internet WIFI, Fully equipped kitchen and for us- a brand new electric water kettle, GREAT new QUEEN mattress and box spring with lovely sheets and chic hotel styling duvet and pillow cases. Thick bath towels. Tastefully appointed with newly upholstered gray sitting arm chairs and super comfy linen sofa cover and pillows. Ample space for work zones we needed. DEFINATELY very close to public transport options if you want, easy uber/taxi area, Pharmacy, groceries, hospital, Alto Palermo Mall, (3rd level Hair salon), shops abound. Easy walking distance to Palermo Soho and Recoleta. Don't miss LA AGUADA (casual northern regional cuisine) downstairs , two doors down on the lef AND Cafe TILO very nearby!
