Great location, very clean

Perfect location in relation to NOC. I used the horse trails to run each day—easy to get in some good mileage. Kids enjoy d the game too—needs a few more ping pong balls. We used the fire pit for s’mores, and kids were happy the wifi worked. Would stay here again.

Kayakers dream

Close to NOC, easy access. Sleeps 7, perfect accommodations! The resort has a pool, workout room, game room. Bar/restaurant across the street. Owner responsive and accommodating. WiFi works!!

A picture-perfect cabin in the woods

We could not have asked for a better cabin. It is cozy and quaint, with comfortable beds and nice furniture. The space felt lived in and comfortable, and it was particularly great to have some toys already on site for my two kids (ages 3 and 10). The setting is magnificent, tucked in among the trees and close to all the outdoor activities you could want. We did quite a bit of swimming and boating in two different spots on Fontana Lake. Sadly some of the hiking we wanted to do was scuttled by a rain storm. But we were also happy to be tucked up in our comfy cabin, reading books and playing games while the rain fell outside. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Perfect location, perfect for the family.

We very much enjoyed our stay . We brought 4 sixteen year olds as a birthday trip . They had a great time and loved their room . Great place to walk around and feel comfortable, great neighborhood. With a pool , game room , horse back riding and fireflies lighting up the evening on the porch rocking in the chairs , made for a great mountain get away . Was also very happy with the parking and road not scaring me to death climbing in a minivan . Father in law was there to sleep on the pull out, and slept in one of the two comfy recliners without ever opening the couch . LOL. It’s in a great location, within 20 mins or less of everywhere. Beautiful scenery and all around a good family environment. Quiet and comfy , will plan to come again!

The cabin was everything that I hoped it would be. Personally, I appreciated the fact that this was a clean and affordable cabin. The owner was very quick to respond and helpful.

I loved it. I talked with the owner a couple times and she was so sweet and helpful. The bed was so comfortable and it was quiet and just all around a home feeling away from home.

Comfortable and cozy cabin

Was a good cabin to stay in, clean and comfortable. I would take more of my own cookware and soaps to use next time. Overall was very quiet area and close to different little surrounding towns to visit. Definitely want to go back.

Relaxing and Comfortable

Very easy to check in and out. The place was clean and 'move in ready.' It was quiet and peaceful. Plenty of necessities. The pool and game room were nice to hangout at as well. VERY comfortable pillows and bedding!! You don't get that everywhere!

Grandson's 7th Birthday

We rented this cabin for the weekend to come celebrate our grandson's 7th birthday. It was convenient to all we had planned to do. It was clean and was as described. I would definitely rent again.

We had a very hard time finding our cabin no lights on no map tried to call no answer

Rent was ok got no info until 3 pm on the day of check in no map showing where the cabin was and it was so hot when we did find it with only one ax unit to cool the whole cabin will never sat again

Clean, easy to find.

Stay was great. Even with only 1 bathroom, the cabin was great for our group! If youre looking for a great cabin id advise staying here.

Peaceful Cabin

Our family loved this cabin. Lots of cooking equipment, plenty of dishes, and the small oven and stove made it easy to make meals at the cabin. We enjoyed the pool and peaceful surroundings. We would definitely stay in the Rafting Bear again!

The perfect getaway cabin

Our family enjoyed our trip to the mountains and stay at the Rafting Bear! The cabin was perfect for our family of 4. A peaceful setting in the woods with amenities close by including the Inn, pool, horseback riding and white water rafting! Bryson City is quaint with dining and shops; Cherokee is just down the road. Our girls loved seeing the Elk and exploring trails in the park! We will be back!
