Interesting place to stay!

We loved the cabins and the service was great. Note, you do not have a picnic table at each campsite that would have been nice the individual cabins have portable toilets in them. Not a deal breaker, but something that needs to be pointed out. We will stay Again.

Truly Gorge Us

I am obsessed with the property and the bus! My husband and I stayed for a night with our three toddlers while taking a night off from section hiking the AT. We all slept in the king bed in the back which was INSANELY comfortable. The hosts are a super sweet little family. Our laundry was done for a small fee very quickly. Communication with the hosts was excellent. They provided so much helpful information on local places to visit for after our hike. The communal glamping bathroom was the nicest bathroom I’ve ever seen at a campsite. A toilet is inside the bus only to be used during bad weather or at night for guest convenience. The property is green and gorgeous, has a little creek on it. There is a grill under a gazebo and the hosts provide propane at no additional cost. We were able to grill hot dogs. The kids LOVED the bus. Also the main house where you check in is STOCKED with little snacks, ice cream, food you can heat up, and other little conveniences available for purchase. All the other structures on the property are adorable! For us the only potential issue was that the door locks on the inside, but unlocks easily with turning the knob. Totally fine if you have older kids or adults. If you have crazy toddlers there’s a potential escape hazard there. But we just barricaded the way out with our bags so it was fine. I would stay there every night if we could! I hope we get to stay again.

This trip was for my kiddo’s 14th birthday! She wants to be a national park ranger when she grows up, so what better place to take her than the great Smokey mountains! In saying that, I wanted to find somewhere that would be fun and different. When we came across Gorgeous Stays I knew we must book it! I went back and fourth because they had so many options to stay in however, we decided to go with the schoolie bus which was decorated in all national park decor. It was perfect! Scott and Wendi thought of everything - down to the K-Cups and extra toiletry items in the restrooms. Staying at Gorgeous was such welcoming and unique experience! My 14 year old had a great time, will be returning with our doggies next time!
