The kitchen was well stocked. The scenery was pretty. It was nestled in the mountains so off the gridish. Grocery store was five minutes away. Upstairs bedrooms had cool walkout decks! While the house is on land, it's not like walking or hiking trails. There are trees everywhere that would make it difficult to try to hike. There is a small backyard with a cool swing. Very charming. The host was awesome. He texted us out of nowhere to tell us the house was ready a couple hours early if we wanted free early check-in!! The house was also close to the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad which is why we were there. Some maintenance items need to be addressed—an electrical face plate hanging from the entrance wall, the downstairs toilet seat is loose and several doors had swelled and don’t close properly. Downstairs shower door also needs repairs to close properly. The cabin was mostly clean but could use a deep cleaning—mold in bathroom shower grout, frig could have been cleaner, some cobwebs (for example in main bedroom), and the screened porch hadn’t been swept or dusted. The biggest problem for me was the mildew/mold from the couch and loveseat—quite overwhelming. I had a problem with mold allergies and asthma. ##### Frances D.
