About this property

Bruns Surf Shack: Beachy Hideaway. Pet friendly!

  • "This 1957 beach house has been redesigned to evoke the sunny nostalgia of summer holidays of the past." CountryStyle Magazine

The Bruns Surf Shack is your dreamy hideaway in the laid back surf town of Brunswick Heads. Imagine wandering back from the beach to the al fresco barbecue and chill out space, having a shower under the stars, and hanging out in the relaxed living spaces after another heavenly day in this loveliest part of the world.

    The space
The Shack is just around the corner from local cafes, vintage shops, and nearby Brunswick Picture House. Once you close the gate behind you, you'll feel like you're hidden away from the rest of the world, surrounded by a tropical garden whose gentle lights come to life at night.

The original 1957 beach house has been thoughtfully designed in 2021 by Jason Grant working with Canadian architecture firm Simcic + Uhrich. Pampa rugs, and a big Bodhi sofa are all part of the easy laid back vibe, with a focus on locally found art and quirky collectibles.

The open kitchen includes all new appliances:

    - Bosch Gas Cook Top
    - Fisher and Paykel Fridge
    - Bosch Oven

There are three comfortable bedrooms that sleep a maximum of six people:

    - Master with Queen Bed
    - Second bedroom with a double bed
    - Third bedroom with a king bed that can split into two singles.

The house is designed for shorter or longer stays, and includes a live-work area with two desk spaces. Fourteen usb charging locations are dotted around the house.

Each stay includes a linen and towel service (included as part of the cleaning fee). This does not include beach towels.

There is space for parking inside the gate and out front.

Built with sustainability in mind, the water tank collects rain water, and solar energy powers the house.
