    This ALL SEASONS rental is located with in a mile of two public boat landings and fishing dock, only15 minutes from downtown La Crosse, WI and 15 minutes from the Iowa border. Houston County area is rich in wonderful trout streams for fly fishing enthusiasts, ice fishing at Lawrence Lake (2 minutes), snowmobile trails, home of the white tail deer and wild turkey, bird watching, hiking, biking trails, and so much more.

    After a full day of exploring the area, you will have an opportunity to make some lifelong lasting memories with your family and friends. Enjoy the screened in porch, stargazing, a fire pit, or plethora of family oriented puzzles and games.

State Darts Get Together w/buddies

This place is amazing, Anna was very communicative anytime i had questions. The view is awesome, theres lots of beds, 2 bathrooms, they even have games for the adults and games for the kids. Beautiful Cabin and lots to do

The property was extremely clean and well kept upon arrival. Quiet location close to LaCrosse with lots for everyone to do. Kids enjoyed the abundance of games, darts, axe throwing, etc. everything worked great and the owners were extremely attentive and communicative throughout the stay. Check in was incredibly easy. Will stay here again for sure!

This property is amazing! Super clean, spacious, and lovely updated house. Beautiful views. The hosts provide many small details to enhance the stay-keurig machine, Brita water in fridge, well stocked kitchen and bathrooms, game cupboard, dartboard, fire pit, grill, lots to do! Super comfy beds and nice bedding, plenty of extra blankets, and towels! No complaints, would stay again.

Long weekend with a view!

This place was fantastic! Clean, great location for wineries, breweries and outside activities. Had everything and more. We enjoyed an outside fire with stars viewing. Morning coffee and breakfast with the best view plus house is stocked with games, darts & tons to do. Planning to stay here again! Couldn't complain if we tried- everything was perfect!!

Great place to relax.

The home was very comfortable inside and out. It was evident that a lot of thought went into the recent remodeling effort. There were many nice design elements which made our stay very enjoyable.Everything that we needed was there, both indoor and outdoor. We walked in and immediately felt at home.We enjoyed the deck, grill, and especially the fire pit.The property is not as secluded as had wished. We highly recommend booking this property.

Home away from home

The cabin and property were beautiful. Everything was exceptionally clean and newly renovated. It had a fully stocked kitchen and then some. The option to be downstairs with the patio doors leading outside or staying in on the screened in porch was awesome. When we visited it was rainy so to have the screened in porch was great. We still felt like we were out in nature and not stuck indoors. It was very peaceful. We can’t wait to go back.

LaCrosse Visit

We very much enjoyed staying at River Den. It was even better then we expected. The location was perfect - could see the Mississippi wetlands from the deck and we loved watching the birds coming to the feeders that the owners supplied. The grounds were beautiful with flowers. The deck was perfect for relaxing which we did a lot of. The beds were comfortable and everything we needed was there and the cabin was immaculate. We couldn't have asked for a better rental. Thank You for allowing us to stay at River Den.

Great, with one complaint

Cabin was very nice and comfortable. Location was great. Not far from Root River biking, La Crosse biking and other activities, Winona biking (love the lake path) and other activities. Como Falls, state parks. Host was very attentive and helpful. Only complaint is that its hard to enjoy the screened-in porch and deck due to all the traffic noise, train noise, and boat noise. Of course, we were out and about most of the time!

Great impromptu stay

We had an unexpected change of plans due to the weather and we were looking for a place to stay for our large group. This location was available and close by so we figured we'd give it a try. The entire group was very happy we did! The house was fantastic with all the amenities we could want. The view is outstanding which was an added perk when we were sitting out on the screened porch drinking our coffee in the morning. The host was very quick and responsive with any communication. We all enjoyed our stay so much we are considering making it an annual get together.

Much needed quiet week

The cabin was very well stocked. When we do VRBOs we have a plastic tub that we take with us with things that are often not supplied. I don't think we even open the tub while at River Den. We thoroughly enjoyed the screen porch, even though the beginning of the week was cold and wet. The beds were comfortable, and we appreciated all the extra throw blankets available. We enjoyed a drive along the Apple Blossom Scenic drive and headed into La Crescent to eat a couple times. But overall, it was a great a place to do nothing and recharge for a few days.

In town for Viterbo University Graduation Weekend

This place is clean, beautiful and has everything you need for a relaxing fun weekend. We were just 15 minutes away from LaCrosse where my daughter graduated from college. It was a great place for family to gather after commencement. We enjoyed the screened in porch, deck, and beautiful lawn. We had plenty of room inside because of the main level and lower level gathering spaces. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything a person could need. And, the host was so helpful, friendly and accomodating. I only wish I would have discovered this place when my daughter was a freshman, so we could have stayed there more often! Highly recommended!
