Virginia, thank you for staying with us. We apologize about the road noise. We encourage guests to read reviews to know what to expect; however we do provide noise machines and for most, it doesn't seem to be a big issue, but understand how others prefer no noise. I do want to note that far as proximity to the highway, we do consider this cabin to be perfect for families. Majority of our guests are families and have never expressed a problem or fear of the highway. We have a playground in the back, far from the highway and with supervision, children (and pets) will be safe! Again, we thank you so much for coming!

Philip, first of all, thank you for staying. I am surprised to hear this. I talked with you and explained pricing prior to booking, offered extra nights steeply discounted and gave you an early check in. I even sent you all of the check-in information manually to ensure you had every piece you needed for your last minute booking. I did realize that my reply in regards to providing firewood did not transmit right away, but as I was spending time with family, but responded as soon as I could! In the Welcome Guide, which I also ensured you had prior to your stay, already included that information regarding firewood so I do apologized if that was in a spot easy to overlook somehow. This is the first we have heard about the flooring and the door, but will have someone check on that right away. We are also transparent about the location of the cabin prior to booking and provide noise machines. Some guests are fine with it and we apologize if that was overlooked as well. Again, thank you for staying and glad you traveled safely!

After reading this review, we even scheduled emergency service and they did not find any trace. This guest most likely meant outdoors, in which case, being in the National Forest is beyond our control. Sherry, we are sorry that you had a bad experience. There should be baking dishes, but we have had several instances where guests take items home with them. We would have brought you what you needed if we knew there was a need or dissatisfaction on your end. As far as the road noise, did you happen to use the sound machines?
