"Bouceel Castle was a splurge stay for my wife and I but we only planned on staying 1 night in this area and it was well worth it. We were so impressed with our room, our view, the grounds, the decor... it was a shame we only booked one night. The highlight of course was learning about the history of the home and it's original owner. Very interesting and very sweet that he took the time to share it with us. What more can I say? Located 5 minutes walk from the train and bus station, the room was decorated with great care and was super comfortable and clean. "What a wonderful, peaceful spot. Ideal for exploring local sights but lovely to sit in the garden or the house (or the hot tub) relaxing. It’s all beautifully presented, clean and comfortable. Our host was helpful, checking in as we passed but never bothering us. Fresh herbs and veg were lovely too. All in all a perfect stay."

"Our family of 17 people across three generations descended on the property for the first week of July 2025. The space suited us perfectly. There are enough washrooms to keep everybody happy. All in beautiful shape and clean. Comfortable beds. Lots of play space for the kids - inside and out. We had the use of two kitchens and dining areas. Very handy for our dinners.Great location for access to St-Malo, Cancale, Fougeres, Mont-St-Michel. Bayeux and the Normandy beaches are about an hour away. And the property location provides privacy. But note, the property is in a valley which means you can’t easily walk or bike into St James for your morning pastries. Less than a 5-minute drive though."
