  • Summary:

Escape to a peaceful waterfront setting at this three-bedroom townhouse in St George, surrounded by greenery on the banks of the River Avon yet just a 10-minute drive from Bristol city centre. Enjoy a well-equipped kitchen opening onto private riverside decking, a separate dining room and a comfortable living room with a large projector for movie nights. With king, double and twin bedrooms, a family bathroom and private parking, it’s an ideal Bristol retreat.

    The Space:

Enjoy the best of city and countryside at this welcoming three-bedroom townhouse in St George. Backing directly onto the River Avon and surrounded by greenery, it feels wonderfully removed from the bustle of Bristol, yet the city centre is only around a 10-minute drive away.

The ground floor is designed for easy, sociable stays. A well-equipped kitchen comes with a dishwasher, microwave and blender, while the breakfast bar is perfect for casual meals and morning coffee. There’s also a separate dining room and convenient downstairs WC. From the kitchen, step down onto the sunny riverside deck, where outdoor seating and a BBQ create an idyllic spot for al fresco dining beside the water.

Upstairs, the first floor features a comfortable twin bedroom alongside a spacious living room. Sink into the sofas for a movie on the large projector, or open the Juliet balcony and take in the peaceful river views.

On the top floor are a king and double bedroom, both with ample storage and characterful skylights framing views towards either the River Avon or nearby Troopers Hill. A family bathroom with bath and overhead shower completes the accommodation - handy for little ones. Families can also make use of children's dinnerware, board games and Snuz Pod crib (sits next to the bed, suitable for 0-6 months).

Nature is never far away, with riverside paths, woodland walks and elevated viewpoints over Bristol all accessible within minutes of the house. After a day exploring, return to your own tranquil spot beside the water.

Private parking is provided for one vehicle, with additional unrestricted parking available on surrounding streets, making this a fantastic base for workers, families and friends discovering Bristol.

    Guest Access:

Guests have full access to the house.

    The Neighborhood:

This home in St George offers the best of both worlds, with nature on the doorstep and Bristol’s attractions within easy reach. Step outside and turn left along the riverside path to Conham River Park, continuing beside the Avon to the Chequers Inn, a lovely riverside pub also around 10 minutes away by car. In summer, cross the river by boat to Beeses, a wonderfully relaxed waterside spot known for its Sunday lunches - check seasonal opening times before visiting.

Behind the house, walk up Troopers Hill for fantastic views across Bristol. There’s woodland to explore and a children’s play area at the top, making it ideal for families.

Turn right along the river and St Anne’s is around a 15-minute walk away. Stop at St Anne’s House for Italian food and pizzettas or visit Catley’s Bakery at weekends for sourdough, pastries and coffee. Active guests can try Rocket Padel, while St Anne’s House also hosts fitness classes. There is also a Co-op supermarket here.

Around eight minutes by car is St George Park, one of the city’s loveliest green spaces, with a wildlife-filled pond and plenty of room to wander. Nearby Church Road has excellent independent businesses, including The Bristol Loaf, alongside a larger Aldi supermarket.

Bristol city centre is easily accessible by bus. Explore the Harbourside and Wapping Wharf, visit M Shed and Bristol Museum, or climb Brandon Hill and Cabot Tower for superb views. Don’t miss Clifton Suspension Bridge, Clifton Village and the Observatory.

For more outdoor adventures, explore Ashton Court Estate, Snuff Mills and Oldbury Court, or visit Clevedon’s marine lake. Families can also enjoy Aerospace Bristol. Summer brings major events including the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta, Harbourside Festival and vibrant street-art events, while Banksy works can be discovered throughout the city.
