As you dine be sure to sit by the window, to watch the farms geese and ducks waddle to and throw at their meal time too, it’s been likened to scenes from Beatrix Potter. Although a quiet location with only the noise of chicken, geese and hens, it’s close enough to visit the surrounding villages that are pretty as a postcard and lined with chocolate box houses. Should you be wanting to take advantage of the fantastic walks that surround, be sure to make a pit-stop or two and the traditional pubs along the Cotswold way, serving wonderful food and some fine ales. The young at heart have an abundance to enjoy too, with a plethora of top attraction right on your doorstep, Bristol Zoo, Cotswold Water Park, Adam Henson’s (BBC Countryfile presenter) farm, Longleat, Bath Roman Baths, Malmesbury Abbey and Westonbirt Arboretum to name just few are all within easy reach.
