"The hotel was excellent! The room was nicer than we expected. The breakfast was also very good.
The restaurant however was a letdown.
It was charming and the service was good but I ordered pasta with mussels and it was inedible.
I am not a food snob by any means and I will eat almost anything but the meal was so salty that I forced myself to eat a portion of it because I was really hungry.
The pasta was really salty the broth had no flavour other than salt and the mussels also were super salty and otherwise tasteless. Probably the worst pasta dish i have ever been served. Too bad because as a Canadian coming to Italy my expectations were a little higher.
I told the server than it was not good and I actually expected them to not charge me for it but they did , and I imagine the server never told the cook ( I would say chef but that would be a huge exaggeration). Therefore I am writing this review because it was terrible . My wife’s dish was okay , but not great. Our friends fish was good although it came with nothing but fish , so on a scale of 10 I would give the restaurant a 3."
