Girls weekend
Me and some friends take a weekend away in January every year, and we decided to head down near Saint Joseph! We were driving through a snowstorm, so it was hand to find at first, but we got there! It was very clean with a homey feel.

"Rinse and Repeat"
As the saying goes "Rinse and Repeat" because this was our second stay at this property and hopefully won't be our last! So a very good property with a little quirks here and there but it didn't affect our stay and Rebecca is still good at communicating with her guests.. For a more detailed review check out our first review one a year ago for May 24-May 26!

Much like home
Clean house, nice accommodations, felt like home. Close to interstate so there is some vehicle noise which may be noticeable if the windows were left open. Responsive communication from the owner. Accurate descriptions and instructions provided by owner. Would stay here again.

Hi Daniel, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. However, I don't quite understand your comment regarding being close to the interstate and noticeable noise. We are nowhere near the interstate, and the property is so peaceful and quiet. There is a train that runs through the area that can be heard occasionally, but even that has never been bothersome.

Lovely getaway
My wife and I had a wonderful time at this property. We just needed a few days away, a hot tub, and some alone time to rest, relax, and recharge. This place delivered. I had a wonderful time soaking in the hot tub, playing board games, and reading by the fireplace. And, being only 90 minutes from Chicago, I would absolutely visit again.

Big clean house close to lake
Rebecca was easy to work with and her place would be perfect for a larger family wanting to spend some time close to Lake Michigan on a budget. My only complaint is that the "fireplace" listed in the description isn't a fireplace, it's a space heater. So, if you're looking for a winter getaway where you can huddle around a fire and watch it snow (and this is the east side of Lake Michigan, so it's always snowing!) this isn't the place! That said, it was clean and check in was easy and the snowplow folks were prompt and made sure my little rental car could make it out of the long driveway!

This property has 2 levels to book. We had the upper level which was very nice but you do not have direct access to the back yard, hot tub or fire pit. You have to go out the front door and all the way around the house to get there. Very inconvenient, especially if you want to use the hottub in winter months. Over all it was very nice.

Our family of 4 had a great stay here and thoroughly enjoyed the house and hot tub. We enjoyed going to Weko Beach and collecting rocks and coming back to the hot tub and fire place. Wonderful stay!

Cozy Week Getaway
My family and I loved our mini vacation here. It was very cozy and had an amazing kitchen with everything you need. We spent our time going to warren dunes park and grand mere state park which were not even 10 minutes away. We will be back!

Home Away From Home
Perfect place for our family to stay together and enjoy simple pleasures like making family meals together after a day at the beach. Chatting away around the firepit or in the hot tub. After being geographically distant from each other for the past few years, it was the best ‘Family Birthday’ we’ve ever had. Watching turkeys and deer and hearing the train go by and just feeling at home all together was exactly the best way to celebrate our parents wedding anniversary. Close to beaches and natural areas, restaurants, stores, but tucked back off a busy road makes it feel more isolated than it actually is. A hidden gem.

Retirement Celebration
We thoroughly enjoyed the proximity of the property to the local scene. I have traveled the Red Arrow Highway before and love the area. The house met our expectations and allowed us a wonderfully restful place to to stay.

Michigan Getaway
The house was exactly what I was looking for! I went with a friend. We went to the beach every day, ate at all the local restaurants and breweries and went in the hot tub every night. I would definitely recommend this property and would return in the future!:)

Fantastic and Clean Property Close to the Beach
This property was perfect for our 5 person family. The description on VRBO was spot on upon arrival. We had the entire top portion of the home which included a master bedroom, 2 more bedrooms, living room, kitchen, dining room, and laundry room. The property was immaculately clean upon arrival and every amenity worked properly. We especially loved the hot tub and fire pit. As an added bonus, everyday we had deer and turkey in the back yard! We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

Laid Back Getaway
This Bridgman vacation rental was a nice getaway without the kids. During our stay, we rented only the upper level of the home with no one occupying the downstairs. So in essence, our group had the home and the entire backyard to ourselves. There was good communication with Rebecca prior to arrival and communication also outlined things to bring that may not be at the property. There was normal wear and tear of a vacation rental but that didn't affect our stay. The kitchen was stocked with plates, flatware and various glassware. We didn't have a chance to use the gas stove or dishwasher. The fridge w/icemaker, microwave and washer/dryer worked nicely. The beds were comfortable for us and the TV's worked! The two full bathrooms were not fancy but clean and nice to have two. We were comfortable at this property and just brought things that we knew wouldn't be at the rental. Although the entertaining part of the backyard is not wooded for privacy, there were no neighbors and it felt private. There was a train that passed through a few times during our stay. We couldn't see it because of privacy trees where the train did pass but we didn't mind hearing the rolling train. The property was close to beaches and things to do. Our purpose was a laid-back getaway and this property provided the kind of ambience we were looking for. Thanks Rebecca!

Perfect getaway location
We had a great time during our stay. This location is so close to all the local wineries, breweries and dunes. We were impressed at how well the kitchen was stocked with pots, cooking utensils and plateware. Being able to relax in the hot tub and watch deer play in the backyard was pretty cool too. We are already discussing a return visit

A great spring break!
We had so much fun! Used the hot tub everyday. Close to state parks and we even drove to Notre Dame. There's a great little tavern called Cubbies less than a mile away. Will visit again.

Great house, better than pictures
We rented this house after cancelling our Thanksgiving plans. We were very pleasantly surprised upon arrival as the place was much nicer than the pictures led us to believe (and the price is great!). Very spacious with all the housewares and things we could need. We communicated with the owner a few times about light bulbs and the hot tub and she responded quickly and had someone out. There were only 2 downsides: 1. You have to walk all the way around the house to get to the hot-tub, which was not super fun when it is 22 degrees outside and the grass freezes your feet. 2. The property is bordered by the train and when it goes by it is loud and shakes the house (slightly). We heard 3 trains in our 2 nights so not too bad and for some it is very calming.... We would stay again as the location is great to several Harbor County activities.

Great Stay!
This was a wonderful place to get away from the city for a long weekend. The house was clean and welcoming. Use of the hot tub and grill were definitely highlights. The backyard is lovely and the perfect place to play yard games. It was overall a very enjoyable stay and we will definitely be renting again in the future!

Nice trip!
Even though our plans changed from a mom's winery weekend to staying in, we had a great time. The house was nice and roomy. We got to enjoy the hot tub and got carry out from surrounding restaurants which were great! We had some issues with the tv but Rebecca always responded right away and helped us try to figure out the problem. Great place. Definitely want to come back when we can enjoy the location better. Overall, it was a very positive stay. The place was reasonably clean and comfortable. It was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed having lots of space. The bedrooms were nice and beds comfortable. Nice kitchen with eating area was great for cooking breakfasts and playing cards in the evening. Our only complaint is that there is no handrail on the stairs going up into the house and the steps are steep! We are older folks and it was a bit scary going up and down the stairs with our luggage and things. The location was great for visiting some wineries and found a cute cafe in Boroda for lunch.

Easily accessible home near local restaurants and shopping. Very clean, fresh, and all amenties available. Internet was very reliable. I never turned on a TV, so I cannot comment on that. Owners are very accommodating and responsive. Overall, great experience and worth the money. I'd definitely stay again when we are back in town.

My family and I (3 couples) stayed here last weekend and were very empresses with the whole experience! The house was very nice and clean. Plenty of room for all of us. We were close to a lot of great restaurants, and things to do. We had fun playing games at the big dinning room table. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

good location but house had some problems
We are a group of retired ladies traveling together, all over 65 . Found that the house had no railing but many entry stairs to climb = a safety problem. Also since only rented upstairs of house with a balcony/deck with no rear exit or stairs down to back yard to be a problem as no access to back yard amenities without going out the front door.Believe could be a fire risk and should be a requirement to have a front and back exit. 2 nd Bathroom toliet had issues with flushing and tank not filling. Handyman did come to repair but still not completely fixed while there. It is hard for 5 ladies having only one toliet to use. Location to beaches,hiking, St. Joseph, wineries was a plus.though.

Rented a “house” peaceful , quite neighborhood, a train came thru the back yard four or five times a Day ! ☹️ We thought we rented a house, to our surprise another family moved in below us !

Sorry you were disappointed. This is the upper level of our 3300 sq ft vacation home. We rent the full house during the summer, upper and lower separately during the off-season. The train runs briefly a few times a day. We've never had any issues or complaints, as it enhances the country charm.
