A top property in beautiful Bridgetown
Clean and comfortable and only a few minutes drive from the heart of Bridgetown, this home is well fitted out with everything you need for a relaxing break. As a family of eight (two married couples, two single ladies, and two teenagers) there were sufficient bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. The kitchen was very well appointed and it was entertaining to watch the antics of the resident sheep in the orchard from the deck each day. All in all a wonderful break and would happily stay there again.

Great accomodation
Very impressed with the accomodation, had everything we needed as a family of 5. Great communication with owners. Great quality, comfy beds and lounge area. The only suggestion I would make would be to have some sort of shade over the deck/pool area (we were there on a 37 degree day though!). would definately recommend others to stay and will be back to stay again. my family and i enjoyed our 2 nights stay in this well equipped and very comfortable house. the location is only few minutes to town and the surrouding property is serene and relaxing, so much so for 2 nights only we didn't really have time or need to use the pool!...highly recommended!

My impression
The house was lovely, in fact was well stocked as well,we should have been more clearer when we said there was 8 adults as two of the party were not couples so we had to improvise with the bedding, but worked out well The bbq was quite dirty and took a lot of cleaning The yard area was very overgrown and a little intimidating to try and get to the dams We were not quite sure with the sheep as the gate was open when we arrived so we shut it as per Johns instructions, however the sheep can get under the gate and could not get back so we reopened the gate Overall though it was a wonderful place There were a lot of paper wasps all around us on the verandah which was a little nervy for some

Beautiful getaway
The house was beautiful and had plenty of space for our party of 10. The view was breathtaking and we even had one of the sheep give birth overnight! I would definitely recommend this place and will come back again.

Winter Break
This proved to be a most appropriate location for a winter Break in Fridgetown with friends. All enjoyed the house and the fitting, Bathrooms, Hot water, kitchen and the TV as there was a lot of sport on over the weekend!

Bridgetown Views
This is an excellent property with outstanding views and a beautiful private location close to town. Our only criticism is it being advertised as 5 bathrooms and 5 bedrooms. This was something we were specifically required due to our numbers. However, the 5th room was tiny and the sofa bed was not comfortable for a couple. There were only three bathrooms, with an outdoor shower (no good in winter) and extra toilets. Also, there we could not access the wifi due to a password change (although that wasn't a huge problem, it was a little annoying). This all said we would certainly stay again but perhaps not with the two teens so that the adults could have all the good rooms!

We encourage all guests to check the full property listing on Stayz which clearly identifies the configuration of our bedrooms and bathrooms. Wi-Fi has now been added to our listing but was not previously available and was shown as not available at the time of this booking.

Bridgetown's Finest
Our group was made up of 4 x Adults, 4 Teens and 2 School Age Children. The house is very spacious and we fitted in with ease. There was 4 x "King" Bed Rooms and one separate bedroom with a double pull out. The Kitchen was huge and island bench perfect. The 3 x Bathrooms were very well appointed with a modern fitout, obviously completed recently. There was 4 x toilets. The new swimming pool received a workout from all the grand kids, who enjoyed cooling down. The gardens and orchard were magnificent and some of the fruit was ready to pick. The sheep were inquisitive until they worked out we were strangers. All in all, this is a perfect, high end holiday home and I would recommend it to anyone. The over all fitout is first class and obviously expensive. Communication with John was easy and nothing was too hard.

Excellent Spot! Great size house for 8 to 10 people with everything you would need. Located close to town and good launching point for attractions in the area. Mainly though, great place to relax!

I cannot fault a thing about this house and property!!!
As a family group of 3 adult couples this house was amazing, from the beautiful decor to the comfortable furnishings, the outstandingly equipped kitchen to the many games, the comfy beds to the beautifully appointed bathrooms, the natural surroundings and the wildlife everything was absolutely perfect. The owner, John’s communications at all times have been prompt and polite. And as for my morning knock on the window (the local friendly kookaburra) he was a most welcome visitor. Thanks hopefully we’ll have the pleasure of returning again.

Just Perfect
As we arrived at the property, the views were just absolutely breathtaking. The accommodation could be likened to a 5 star hotel, will all amenities available to support our stay, along with a well stocked pantry with all the basics. John was the perfect host, providing useful info and also being extremely attentive to any questions that we had. We were 3 families staying at the accommodation given an event we were attending on the weekend. The house was spacious, well appointed and was well stocked with everything you need to enjoy a home from home weekend break. Plenty of seating and space for entertaining. There was something for both adults and children and the fire pit was a big hit for the kids making smorgs. The views from the bedroom windows and huge balcony were amazing. Absolutely no doubt that we would be keen to return to this property. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us John.

Fabulous Stay
We had such a fabulous time. From the moment we drove to the gate, the property met all our expectations. Beautifully renovated, the house has absolutely everything for you to feel at home. The owner John, was very helpful with queries we had and very prompt at replying. A truly lovely 4 bedroom home with an extra little room with lounge, along with the 3 bathrooms and 4 toilets. The view from the master bedroom and balcony was gorgeous to wake up to every morning. Fabulous property for a large family or a group of up to 10. The walk along the train track and Blackwood River into town was a highlight. Highly recommend this property.

We had a lovely weekend in John’s beautiful house. Everything has been thought about. The rooms are spacious and the house has all you need. Very well thought out. Lovely touch that the fire was ready to light when you arrived, just needed a match! View off the veranda was wonderful. House easy to find and close to town, just what you need for a relaxing break down south!

We absolutely loved our stay. The house is modern, clean and beautiful. 100% would recommend and stay again. A place that says 'sleeps 10' and there is actually 10 dining chairs and enough room for 10 people to sit on the couch! RC aircon and wood fire heater. Abundance of plates, cutlery, serving platters etc. Stove top and oven big enough to entertain. Beds really comfy, RC aircon in most rooms. MB away from everything and can be shut off. You won't be disappointed. Only down side is you have to take your rubbish away with you but plan ahead it really isn't that big of a deal.

Mum’s weekend away & 40th.
We had the best time at this property. The house was very modern & equipped with everything you could possibly need. The setting was just beautiful & the weather happened to be perfect for the three days we were there. We loved being able to go on bush walks, just taking in the views from the balcony or just sitting in front of the fireplace and chatting. The photos really don’t do it this place justice, I loved everything about it and hope I can come back again in the future. Thanks John for a great stay!!

A great get away.
John was very professional to deal with. He got back to me straight away with any questions I had. Property was advertised as 5 bedrooms 5 bathroom and when we arrived it was actually 3 full bathrooms and 4 beds (one bedroom was a separate lounge but it did have fold out couch and blinds). Interior was set out with everything needed for a few nights away. Ample crockery, cutlery and massive dining/ lounge to chill out in as well as great sized deck area with a beautiful view. Was a tad difficult to find. Maybe some signage at the front could help those arriving after dark. Perfect for a big family or couples wanting some time away. Thankyou

We are disappointed that this is our first review not to receive a perfect 5 as we do try to anticipate every need of our guests. Our property listing does specify that the 5th bedroom has a queen size sofa bed and we are encouraged that this has met the needs of all guests to date. Similarly our listing of toilet and bathroom facilities follows the template listing of the Stayz website. We note however that if you view properties for Stayz on a mobile device it sometimes shows a summary rather than the full listing and recommend that you should check the full listing on a laptop computer.

Really really impressed!
Our family LOVED staying at this property! So new and clean and ample bathrooms!! Loved the gorgeous sheep walking around. Loved the incredible balcony views! Got a permit to light the fire pit and roast marshmallows which the kids loved. John was super helpful too. Highly recommend! Only thing I would change is to have window coverings and a functioning lock on the master bathroom.

Perfect stay!
So lucky to have stumbled across this amazing property! Everything was provided for in the well designed kitchen and was stocked so thoughtfully. The many bathrooms were clean and having the essential toiletries provided were helpful. All the bedrooms were equipped with super comfortable beds, pillows and sheets which guaranteed a good night sleep! The home is situated on a private and quite location with beautiful backyard with many fruit trees and sheep which kept the kids entertained. The view was amazing and serene and John provided little touches like having the aircon turned on when we checked in and a little welcome note which was very sweet! We’ve stayed at many homes in the south west and this is by far one of our favourite! We really appreciate the cleanliness & the thoughtfulness that went into making this home a wonderful home away from home. Thank you John & Jo, we highly recommend your wonderful home and will definitely come back again!

What a beautiful spot! The house was homely and luxurious, accommodated our family of 4 easily with huge bedrooms and large bathrooms. It was the perfect spot to relax and unwind after our days out and about exploring the region. Has a gourmet kitchen and huge veranda overlooking the valley and private dam. A short (6km) drive to town but also lots of places to walk around the property. It was cold at night when we stayed so marshmallows on the outdoor fire-pit were a must. We really look forward to staying again and thankyou for sharing your gorgeous property.

Spectacular!
A fantastic house in a stunning setting. Our family loved everything about it - from the breathtaking views and birdsong, the sheep and guinea fowl, to all the creature comforts of the home’s beautiful interior. Could not recommend highly enough. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
