You'll particularly appreciate the peace and quiet and the view. Briançon has a remarkable military complex, built between the 18th and 20th centuries to improve the city’s defence system. The visit includes the upper town, or citadel Vauban, the very heart of Briançon, dominated by the castle, and the surrounding fortifications of Fort des Salettes, Fort des Trois Têtes and Fort du Randouillet.
