The room was in excellent, clean condition and had plenty of square foot space for my wife and myself. The one unique feature that caught us off guard was the glass wall of the shower looking out on the bedding space. We did not find it objectionable. The staff was excellent in helping us.

Stayed at the Fairmont Gold in Whistler recently. The room itself was very nice and comfortable, but unfortunately the overall Gold experience did not live up to expectations.
The service felt below the standard I would expect from Fairmont Gold. While there is a lounge/buffet for Gold guests, it is quite limited and consists mostly of light snacks rather than a meaningful breakfast or food offering. I would not recommend counting on it as part of the value of the stay.
Overall, while the accommodations were good, I personally did not find the Fairmont Gold upgrade worth the additional cost.

I mentioned that it was a trip to celebrate my friend's birthday, so they sent a small cake. We originally booked for four people, but one friend couldn't go because they were injured, so we were going with three. We requested a room upgrade, but that didn't happen. Nevertheless, we had a great stay.

"A cozy little cabin with everything we needed for a peaceful getaway. Tucked away beside the forest. It felt wonderfully private. The best part was falling asleep to the sound of frogs at night and waking up to roosters in the morning."
