Generally a good stay and close to our homes for a family get together...so hard with family so busy these days. The lake is close and nice, great for kids. A few points where house could have been a bit better, but owner was accessible and accommodating. Make sure you bring towels and bath stuff. 👍👍
It was quiet, had everything we needed, host was easy to contact, lake was clean and quiet and great hiking spots. My daughter loved all the beach toys available. The walk to the lake was easy but there is a road to cross over. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook including a huge outdoor griddle, Ninja coffee maker & gas stove top!
Thank you!
Spacious property, nicely decorated (loved the wood furniture), very clean with a beautiful view! Plenty of room for my family of 6 adults, a 4 year old and a 10 month old. Todd is a great host. Immediately answered any questions we had. We rented a pontoon boat for a couple of days (highly recommend Brant Lake Marina for boat rentals) and he moved his boat so that we were able to dock ours at his slip at the private beach just a few minutes walk from the home. The kitchen was fully stocked. We loved having the downstairs bar area with a sink and additional refrigerator. Also, my 4 year old nephew loved the downstairs area as well. The home is close to Lake George, a grocery store and a small liquor store. We highly recommend the property and will definitely stay again!
This was our second time staying at this cabin, and overall, we had another enjoyable visit. We were a group of four adult couples (eight people total), and the house provided plenty of space for us to relax and spend time together. The location is great, within walking distance to the beach, and we especially appreciated the hot tub and fire pit, which made for cozy evenings. That said, there are a few things to be aware of before booking. The beds are quite firm, which some of us found uncomfortable. Sound carries easily throughout the house due to thin walls and floors, making it a bit challenging for early risers or night owls; we found ourselves keeping to the same sleep schedule to avoid disturbing each other. A few of the interior doors don’t close properly, and the kitchen could benefit from some updates.Still, we would stay here again. It’s an older cabin in the woods and it's clear that the owner, Todd, has been making steady improvements since our last visit. We’re confident he’ll continue enhancing the space over time!
The property was fantastic!
The bedrooms were great. Plenty of rooms and beds to fit two families plus my MIL.
The kitchen is small but good enough. It had everything we needed for our stay.
The front deck is fantastic. We ate most meals on the table out there.
The beach area is great! A large sandy area and tons of sand toys. Kayaks, a canoe, paddle board and a small playground. The walk there is short but on a road around a bend. The road is not super busy but it is hard to see what is coming and the cars go fast. We had someone drive the kids over and then come walk back once they parked the car back at the house.
The host was very responsive and easy to talk to.
We stayed over July 4th and we were able to watch fireworks from the front lawn. It was great!
I would absolutely stay here again.
Enjoyable stay - in spite of challenging week of weather
Nice 3 story chalet on Brant Lake. Plenty of room.
Huge front deck with beautiful lake view.Short walk to beach and dock (we bought our boat along). Several families share the beach - all seemed very friendly . We used the canoe for an hour or so. Playground area for kids at beach. 3rd flr is nice - has a balcony with same view as main deck. Huge Blackstone griddle on side of main deck. Hot sun during day is partially blocked by overhanging trees .Evenings are nice - especially when there is a breeze.
Rustic furniture is top notch - really sets the ADK vibe. Extra frig on 1st flr for beer or whatever.
Close to town; Stewart’s ; Crossroads Deli; Food truck Fridays . 20 mins to Schroon lake; 30 min to Bolton on Lake George. Met owner , Todd. Had a nice conversation about the area. All good,
The house has a beautiful view of the lake from two front decks. Short walk 100 feet or so to the Lake front beach and dock with kayaks available. The house was clean and well equipped. The house has central air which is a rare find. The property owner was responsive to messages. We are looking forward to staying again next year.
I would highly recommend staying at this property! I stayed here with family ahead of my wedding at Brant Lake. The host was wonderful at communicating and answered any questions I had very quickly. This is a stunning spot on Brant Lake and the view from the living area made it worth every penny. If you're looking for a spot to rent on Brant Lake look no further. I look forward to renting this property again in the future!
It was a nice stay. Rough start the house wasn't completely ready and the grill was gross. The first morning we were woke up before 7 to the yard crew mowing and weed wacking.
House was more than adequate for a family gathering, other than the kitchen is very small. At best, room for just two people, hence the 4 stars overall rating. Otherwise, close proximity to the private beach, water amenities all nice. Utilized the fire pit several evenings and seating for the number of people was good. Quiet, pleasant neighborhood. Comfortable mattresses. Inside stairs seemed fairly steep. If any mobility issues, this house would be challenging, if not impossible. Todd was highly responsive and very easy to work with.
We had 7 siblings & spouses along with parents stay for a long weekend. We loved the firepit, corn hole, and hot tub. The outdoor dining table was perfect to fit us all and the extra fridge in the basement was great for beverages. We also enjoyed the beach access and used the canoes/etc a couple times. There was an issue with our door code upon arrival but the host immediately took my call and sorted it out in only a few minutes. We fit 3 vehicles in the driveway but any more than that would have been a pain. Hopefully we will be back again!
This was our first time on a vacation with our adult children and their families. House was the perfect size for all of us. Loved the private beach area that was a just a short walk from house. Deck was perfect for coffee in the morning or lunch/dinner later in day. Road was very busy with traffic and trucks. Kitchen a bit small with outdated appliances. TV on top floor was old. Never was able to get TV on bottom floor to work. Stairs are very steep. Host was very attentive. Responded to any questions very quickly and even stop in one day to check on us :)
We arrived at what looks like a chalet in the Swiss Alps with 2nd & 3rd. floor balconies looking out over Brant Lake. The space had a nice flow to it as we had 8 adults, cooked several meals, including on the grill, and the kitchen, dining room, living room, deck were located so we got to share in everything. Place was immaculate and well kept. We had concerns as the fire pit was on the road side of what seemed to be a busy road however our last night bonfire was uninterrupted and plenty of chairs. The owner even called during our stay to make sure everything was satisfactory. Plenty of bedrooms with plenty of space, 2 bathrooms - We will likely put this on our short list for our annual retreat.
An excellent place to stay both good view and with a nice quiet private beach. The property manager was very communicative and helpful. I will definitely go back.
There was a little mix-up with the initial reservation (I moved the date and then we became double booked) -- the owner worked with us to get us into a comparable property with met our needs perfectly. There was prompt communication at each step along the way and ultimately we all had a fantastic weekend.
