"Arrived late at our stay and then realised that we had in fact booked for the weekend after! Disaster after a 6 hour drive and very little options. We apologised and explained the error to our host. Amazingly and also luckily the host immediately went to work setting up an alternative glamping pod for us to stay in. "The George combines a beautiful old building with clean, fresh interiors which are comfortable and thoughtfully planned - plenty of storage and hanging space, plenty of space in the bathroom for damp towels etc. I visit annually and it's a pleasure to see the same staff each year I visit! A comfy bed with padded headboard (ideal for reading), Smart TV and decent wifi add to the convenience. My room overlooked South Molton's main street but the double-glazing is so effective there was no noise. Breakfast is delicious and service is prompt and friendly. Some of the rooms have a couple of steep steps up to them so those with mobility issues might want to let the hotel know so they can allocate rooms accordingly."

"There,was only one lift for the whole hotel which was,a really old one and only held 4 people.Our room was,not cleaned or wet towels replaced until we complained of tea tray filled up or bin empties.We had to complain on three r Occasions.There,were no bed side lights so if you got out in the night you had,to fumble for a switch.So had,to buy a torch ,.a A notice said it bathroom floor gets set it is,slippery.Surely bathroom flooring should be slip proof.Bathroom was cramped with a ridiculous glass sink. My mattress had a spring coming through which hurt my back so had,to turn the mattress over.Seemed to be a,lack of staff.We were,so miserable we checked out a,day early.l had,a holiday spoiled.Would not recommend it at all"
