Don't be fooled by the cute target decor! This property is shared with an upstairs loft space which is fine, however the listing failed to mention that there are communal, actual shared rooms! Both listings have the same pictures of the shared rooms- entry room, laundry room, bathroom- making it seem like they are part of the rental, when actually they are not. The "entrance" to the main part house in the shared space is only locked with a small interior lock on a glass french door. We did not feel safe as someone could very easily push the doors open and the lock to the outside entry is controlled by both up and downstairs renters, we found it unlocked several times. There are beach chairs and toys however these are old and broken and also shared with the other renters making it awkward on who is using what items. We found a few cockroaches- gross! The outside space pictures show a deck, however there are 4 very large trash dumpsters where the chairs are. It appeared as if someone trimmed trees and bushes a month ago and left all the clippings, the yard is filled with landscape branches, leaves and other debris and so is one of the parking spaces. The outside table and chairs are moldy and disgusting. The air conditioning vents are black and filled with mold and the house smells horrible. The refrigerator and covered in rust and so is the bathroom ceiling. The house has been "updated" with tons of caulk and paint to cover up all the mold, rust and imperfections.
As for communication with the property manager, I received an email when I booked and an email a few days before our stay, nothing else. We would have left if we could have found another rental on such short notice.
We've stayed at many rentals and never experienced anything like this. I have no idea how others have given this rental good reviews. Save yourself the trouble and pass on this one.
