The entire building is a fire hazard. There are over 12 steps to the top floor with no exterior lights anywhere outside the building. Also, the front door to enter or exit is swollen and the door knobs wiggles, where you don't know if you can enter or exit. The entire place was filthy. Floors, shower and the sheets were stained and hair on the towels. coffee cups had terrible brown stains on them. The stove has rust on it. Only one electrical outlet worked. The entire place was dirty and rust on the closet floor where the door would slide and bathtub. So outdated to the point the very first night we were on the phone with VRBO and Love Rentals complaining. We drove 2 days to get there to sleep on top of the bed with our robes and did not use anything and left before 8 am the very next morning just to drive 2 days back home. This place is dump.

The location on the beach was ideal. Overlooking the beach from the shared 2nd floor balcony. Not very crowded in front of the building. The unit was extremely clean and perfect for a nice four day getaway. Will definitely return.

This spot is on the 2nd floor right on the beach in the shade of 2 trees! The location is the absolute selling point of this property. Those 2 trees provide shade on the balcony in the afternoon so the unit doesn’t get unbearably hot. The communication was EXCELLENT! We had a couple issues, some resolved ASAP, others had to take a little time but the people behind the communications through VRBO was immediate and helpful. The unit inside is cute and perfect for 2 people. We cooked almost every night, they have the basics so if you plan on needing a blender or to bake you should bring some specialty items with you. The air conditioner works really well and we were comfortable at 73 degrees.I only gave 3 stars for cleanliness because something was being stored under the bed and it was crazy dusty. The bedroom lamps were unplugged so we had to move the bed to plug them back in and saw the massive buildup of dust there as well. We communicated through VRBO, they had me send pictures so they could send to the property manager so I’m sure it will be perfect for the next travelers. Other than the dust under/behind the bed - the living room, kitchen & bathroom were all clean and tidy.We will definitely stay here again.
After the sunset you can really see the 2 trees and then the beautiful view from the balcony
We would move the outside table closer to the edge for breakfast/lunch/dinner or when we wanted to hang out and just put it back when we were done so as to not get in the way of the other people
I known it’s “just” a tree but that tree made a world of difference blocking that sun when it would set. Say thank you to that tree!!

Perfect beach getaway

Sister vacation!

This property was exactly as presented on -line. It was very clean, and had all the necessary amenities. The property manager and staff were extremely accommodating. The view was a million dollar view. We enjoyed our stay, and most likely will stay there again.

Beautiful View

View was perfect. Place was clean. Great stay. Only complaint was the shower. I’m tall and I would shower in the dark because the window didn’t have a blind or curtain and overlooked the street. Otherwise, it was a great and quiet stay.

Perfect

We were their for our nieces wedding. We both wanted on the beach and this place was perfect. Exactly as pictured. Very clean and stocked with a must for me a coffee maker which I enjoyed coffee right outside our door in the early morning watching the waves. Very quiet around us at night. Very nice “neighbors” also. We stayed 4 nights and everywhere we wanted to go was a very short distance away. Highly recommend

Convenient

On beach location makes beaching it incredibly simple. Was nice to have our dog. Provided us with everything we needed. There is enough businesses within a short distance, allowing you to not have to travel off island, avoiding majority of traffic. Property Manager was very communicative and helpful.

Awesome location and view

We really liked that it was right on the ocean, just steps from the beach, with such a gorgeous view from both bedroom and living room. (Blinds in bedroom need to be replaced! Hard to open and close). The place could use a little bit of updating - lots of miscellaneous junk/stuff laying around and in drawers, closet doors are ready to fall apart, fridge was very rusty looking, beach umbrellas were broken, bathroom faucet drain was open, etc. Plus the listing said there was a dishwasher. I knew there was not one because of other reviews so no big deal but they made sure to give you the dishwasher pods! Lol. TV was tricky but the on-site manager was very prompt in helping us.

Great location and view from porch.

The location and property is great, so close to beach and water. The apartment is well equipped and very clean. The bathroom sink needs a stopper and faucet strainer cleaned or replaced. People need to be aware of the 14 steps to climb to reach the apartment. They also need to be aware that the advertised price ends up being almost twice that much.

Property needs some attention and updating. Towels were worn and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The faucet in bathroom sprays all over you when it’s turned on. Over all not bad for a short stay. Great beach location.

Five stars really has to impress me.

This is my second stay. The pet friendly aspect was why I originally chose. Any issues were resolved quickly the first stay, and had none this year. It may be time to upgrade the fridge, as a few times it sounded like it wanted to take off. Also, the bathroom sink has no stopper which isn’t a problem for me, but I’d hate for someone to lose a wedding ring due to the lack of a $20 repair.

Let's go to the Beach!

Love, Love, Love this location! Cute, some minor annoyances (toilet flapper needs replacing, a small vac would have been a game changer to clean up the sand we felt we were always dragging in.) This unit desperately needs updated pillows in the bedroom & at least a shower mat for the bathroom. Property manager was SUPER responsive and would happily rent from them again. That being said, location, location, location..... WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!

Couldn't Get Closer to the Beach!

This is my second year staying in the same place. I love that you can walk out your door and be on the beach. Rooms are clean, bed is comfy, view is beautiful! I'll be back!

Perfect Beach Stay!!

A stones-throw away from the beach with a balcony view and large ocean facing windows made the day perfect whether we were inside or out. Amazing sunset pictures! Very clean and well supplied. No smelly odors made it great for us. Easy access to shopping and dining. When we had a problem the agency was on the spot in 30 minutes to fix it!! The most relaxing vaca we have had in a long time. Highly reccommended!

Shell cove beach front

The location of our stay was priceless, right on the beach with gorgeous views and walkable to a ton of places. Having the free trolley and monkey bus made getting around without a car super easy. The place was clean and cutely decorated for a beach feel.

On the beach

This property was just as described. Gorgeous water views, sunsets. We watched dolphins swim by one morning. The unit interior was clean and adequate for what we needed.

AMI has changed sadly for the worst. The traffic has increased to the point where it is near impossible to use a car. The red tide spores in the air was so irritating that we could not go on, or get near the beach. We ended up inside the condo, which was very nice, but not what a beach vacation should be like, especially with all the moey spent. We will not be returning.

Great view and beach access

We arrived at night there are parking spots for each unit. The numbers are not in order they go by what side of the building you are on so make sure you park in the right spot. The unit was very clean. Basic furnishings. Kitchen seemed full equipped but we ate out every night. Great seafood here. New king size bed with foam mattress and new bedding. The view and beach access is what we came for. Beach chairs and umbrella provided. Tv a little tricky but follow instructions and check that cable box is on. Enjoyed beach walks and watching the sunset on the balcony. Bring cash many bars and restaurants are cash only. Free trolley is close to get around the island also.

Beautiful location

Perfect spot for an individual or couple. I didn't really need my car....beach right out the door, and the free (for tips) public transportation can get you anywhere you need, including the airport. You can have groceries delivered from Publix with instacart! This was a VERY relaxing, lovely place to stay. Comfy bed, well appointed kitchen, beach chairs etc. CAn't wait for my return.

THIS CONDO WAS VERY BAD. THE TV ONLY HAD NETFLIX only In the bedroom. THE KITCHEN WAS NOT GOOD. NO DISHWASHER. NOT MANY DISHES AND VERY INCONVENIRNT. THE BATHROOM WAS VERY SMALL. THE ONLY GOOD THING WAS THE VIEW. VERYBAD PARKING. HAD TO BACK OUT INTO A VERY BUSY ROAD. NOT A VERY GOOD TRIP. THEY EVEN SAID ALL DISHES NEED TO BE WASHED AND PUT AWAY. EVEN TO WASH ALL TOWELS EXCEPT THE ONES USED THE DAY OF CHECKOUT. IF THAT IS THE CASE YOU SHOULD HAVE A WASHING MACHINE. GOING TO A Laundermat TO WASH TOWELS ON A RENTAL PLACE. THE VERY WORSE PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED. MY LAST TIME AT SHELL COVE, FOR SURE. THE HEAT AND AIR WAS not working and we had to call repair service. The service man said it was because the filter was dirty and it had no circulation. No comfortable chairs on deck to sit outside on. Everything needs to be updated.

We were so highly disappointed in this property that we left within 24 hours to go back home. The pictures online looked great. HOWEVER: we had a full night and morning on not being able to get the TV to Work!!! Finally someone came out to show us. The TV was a bit larger than an eye chart! Maybe 14 by 24. We had counted on watching all the football games on Sat and Sun. The thing that most disappointed us was the picture window in both rooms. We had a beautiful view of the water BUT THE BLINDS WOULD NOT GO UP !!! WE LOOKED AT THE WATER THROUGH SLATS . IT'S NOT AN OCEAN VIEW THEN The furniture was comfortable and set up well. But on close inspection there was rust everywhere: on the refrigerator, the closet doors and in the bedroom, the mirrored closet doors were rooted in a rusty rail that made the doors swing from side to side The mattress was so hard , I had to sleep on the couch. The beach furniture was old and rusty. Refrigerator would not stop running nor would the tub faucet. The tub was old and dingy. I didn't want to take a shower in it. WE are beyond disappointed We arrived Thursday at 4 PM and left Fri at ! pm. I don't think I would use VRBO again due to this unfortunate experience. The unit ruined our Christmas vacation!!!! We have asked the owner for 1500.00 returned of which we have heard nothing. This property has to be reevaluated to be included in VRBO. !!!!!!!

Needs updating!

I have stayed at this property site before but at a different condo. I love the view and the convenience to the beach but this specific condo needs much updating. The bed was very uncomfortable!! Some of the coffee cups had cracks which for health reasons should be tossed. Also the silverware/knives were not sturdy/sharp. I would love to stay again if updates were made. I'm not a complainer but this just didn't meet my standards. Thank you.

Beautiful location, not so beautiful unit

The location and beach are amazing. I would have given the property a zero if it weren't right on the beach. The property is very outdated and lacks any comforts or pleasant decor. The kitchen, which was advertised as "updated and ready to prepare any meal:" was a huge overestimate. Lack of kitchen equipment, and what was there is gross, rusty and old. There is NO dishwasher (despite the listing stating that it has one). The mattress is very a uncomfortable and worn foam mattress. For some reason they have chosen not to put a TV in the bedroom. They could easily take one dresser out (don't need 2 in a rental) and put in a NEW King bed and a TV. Also, need a ceiling fan in bedroom so we wouldn't have to have the air down to 68 at night. The bathroom was functional but old and gross. No matching towels, just old "rags". It's really unfortunate because, like I said, the beach was beautiful and several of the other units in the complex that we saw when we walked by were updated and looked very nice. I would find a different unit in this complex but would not recommend this one. The area surrounding the complex could stand a little clean up but was OK overall. The parking was challenging, you either have to back in off of a busy street or back up on to a busy street.

Great location, beach was beautiful

Beach rental, nothing special about the unit other than the awesome location. The mattress was so bad we left after the second night, we couldn't face another sleepless night in that bed. Unless there was a new mattress I would not recommend this rental unit. Had no communications with the property manager.

Couldn't ask for a better location!

You are right on the beach! I throughly enjoyed being able to get up and walk the beach every morning with no hassel. The unit was clean but we did find a cooler in the closet that should be thrown out, a bit moldy. The unit is a bit dated but we were not there to be inside but outside. The balcony is a wonderful spot to sit in the heat of the day, while experiencing a cool breeze or at night watching the moon rise over the Gulf of Mexico. This condo is at the perfect location to enjoy food on Bridge Street or a day at Bean Point. You won't be disappointed.

Perfect location

We loved the location of this condo. We enjoyed the beach and ocean views day and night. Would highly recommend to anyone and would absolutely stay here again. The only negatives would be only given 4 towels for two adults for a 7 night stay. Extra bed sheets would have been nice as well. And hand towels for the dishes would be helpful. We did have to do laundry more than we anticipated. But overall it’s a great condo.
