A Slice of Paradise
What a wonderful place to call home for the week. The house, amenities, little extras made for an excellent time. The boathouse was awesome as were the fun hammock chairs at the dock. The cove was wide and great for swimming, floating, and fishing. Available covered boat slip was also very handy for our boat. Community boat ramp was super convenient. Little extras like the rolling cooler, beach towels, toiletries, trashcans on the porch and dock, kayaks and paddle boards all made the stay that much better. Thank you and let us know if you ever want to sell this little slice of paradise.

Everything I thought and more
I grew up around lakes in Florida so my expectations were very high. This lake house is perfect. The owners were very accommodating to a request. They have everything you need there. Kayaks, paddle boat, paddle boards, life jackets....everything to have a great time. House, porch and dock have a lot of space. If you have a boat BRING IT.

Perfect Vacation

Perfect for our family vacation - July 2023!

Family lake get away
Gaston Lake has clean cool water. cool breeze blows off the water even on hot summer days. Seems new/remodeled, quite cove, nice boat house. Nice firepit area overlooking lake, nice grill to cook on deck. water toys to play with even if you don't have a boat.

Relaxing family time
We had a wonderful stay at Turtle Cove. The home was impressively clean with a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. The dock was our favorite place to spend time: the view was awesome, there was minimal boat traffic, fun water toys such as floats/paddle boards/kayaks with a variety of life jacket sizes, and the hanging hammock-like chairs were so comfy and perfect for relaxing/reading/watching the kids play. We look forward to returning!

Memorial Day 2023
Turtle Cove is like a home away from home for me and my family. The home is well equipped and the owners have thought of all the little things to create an enjoyable stay for the whole family: games, toys, lounge chairs, comfortable beds and pillows, cookware, etc. We love the covered dock and water toys (paddle boards, kayaks, floats) and hammock chairs for the dock. The view is amazing and the deep water make for a great place to swim. It is a quick boat ride or car ride to Holly Grove Marina for the best ice cream on Lake Gaston.

Fishing Get Away
4 Fishing buddies spent three days on Lake Gaston and this VRBO was fantastic. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants a quiet get away. The owner/host is terrific.

Last minute trip!
Leah was so accommodating on this last minute trip after our NY vacation got cancelled. We were able to get an early check in so we could really take advantage of the time at the property. The house was clean and everything needed was available. The fire pit was used even though it was a freezing night we still enjoyed it. Beds were comfortable and we made use of the many board games that were there. We loved the kitchen and the view of the lake where we spent most of our time. We would love to go back when the weather is a little warmer to enjoy all of the amenities. Thank you Leah!

House and property were even better then anticipated. House is very spacious and stocked with amenities. We really loved the screened-in porch, beautiful dock, and all available paddlesport options (kayaks AND paddle boards). Can’t wait to come back to this wonderful vacation home!

It’s the Little Things
We’ve vacationed in many VRBO properties but Turtle Cove definitely stood out. The grocery delivery service was a wonderful perk - we arrived and went straight out on the lake instead of making a trip to the grocery store and then putting everything away. We were also impressed with the convenience products that were stocked at the property. Extra fluffy towels, a spice cabinet, games, and even those shampoo and soap dispensers you see on cruise ships! The property is right off the main lake with a very convenient neighborhood boat put in. We will definitely stay here again.

The best week!
We stayed here for 8 nights and it was so much fun! The house had everything we needed including a huge screen porch, large deck and fire pit. The walk to the dock is short and easy when you forgot something at the house. We spent most of our time at the dock and in the water. It’s the perfect dock to hang out at. Lots of shade and places to jump in and swim. The water is deep and clean and somehow there was a lovely breeze through the cove every day and night like a breezeway between buildings. My parents brought their pontoon and the boat ramp is right across the cove and parking at the dock was easy. The host had the best communication before and during our trip. Oh and check out the Rosemont winery, it’s very close and really cute. Will definitely rent this place again!

We had a beautiful week at Turtle Cove! The cove was beautiful, quiet and provided us a wonderful family vacation for ages from 2 months old to 58 years old! The house was very comfortable and more than enough room for all of us, but our favorite place was the dock ❤️

Fun Lake Vacation!
What a fun time we had at Turtle Cove! The house was clean, and there were so many wonderful things to do. We paddle-boarded everyday, kayaked, played with the yard games and had a few bonfires. We enjoyed dinner outside on the large deck every night, but mostly stayed out on the hammocks at the boat house. It’s such a peaceful and relaxing cove, and we can’t wait to book again. The Lake House is the best VRBO house we have ever stayed at!!
Leah is very responsive and the house is clean with all the amenities you could possibly want or need. The dock is so close to the house and has fishing poles, floaties, chairs, etc. We spent most of our day on the dock hanging out. We also rented a boat and jet ski and had a blast!

Perfect Lake Vacation
We have stayed at the property before and love our time at Turtle Cove! The property inside and out has everything families need for a great vacation. The recent updates to the interior of the home are beautiful, the new patio/fire pit are perfect for evening yard games and s'mores and the boat house is just amazing! We love that the house is on a quiet cove so the kids can swim and play without boats or jet skis zooming by. The owners are great to work with and have thought of everything to make your time at Turtle Cove a fantastic experience. We highly recommend this property and are looking forward to returning next year!

Family week at Lake Gaston
As always, love the property and the owners are awesome! The dock and cove are amazing. Great job with the property upgrades: kitchen, flooring, patio, and fire pit. Cleaning crew needs to be a little more diligent. There was a twizzler in one bed, the shower/tub areas needed just a little more attention (some hair left behind), some crumbs and food on the range.

Awesome experience on Turtle Cove
We enjoyed our stay at Turtle Cove! Communication was excellent. The guest guide they provided was full of information needed and easy to use. Recent upgrades in the kitchen, flooring and outside fire pit were beautiful. The boat house had a lot to offer including kayaks. We did a lot of fishing and got some tips from the local bait shop. We enjoyed ourselves and will plan to do it again.

Perfect family vacation spot
Wow! We were impressed with everything about this property. Very clean, fabulous amenities, so many things to do at the lake, and so many places to rest and relax! Our family of 11 had plenty of space and plenty to do. The kids loved kayaking, paddle boarding, and petal boating. It was also a joy to be in such beautiful nature...sunsets, tons of stars (no light pollution), a huge oak tree with acorns, the water, the songbirds, the squirrels, a heron.... the quiet. Just perfect!

Great Lake Gaston Retreat
The family had a great time fishing and swimming. The house was welcoming and had everything we needed and wanted. Great vacation getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed this lake house. The deck is enormous and features a screened-in portion and a normal deck. We stayed out there most nights. The beds were very comfy and the boat dock was huge and well stocked with paddleboards, kayaks, floats, etc. The house is also not on the main part of the lake so very quiet with very little boat noise.

Perfect end of summer getaway
We had a great time at Turtle Cove for an end of summer getaway with some close family friends. We made full use of the kayaks, paddle boat, floaties and SUP boards everyday! The house was cozy and fit eight of us, four adults and four kids between the ages of 5-8. The kitchen was well stocked with lots of kid plates/cups. One of the best features was the grocery delivery service. It was so nice to be able to arrive at the house with all of our groceries already unloaded in the fridge and pantry. We’ll definitely be back again!

Perfect Getaway to Lake Gaston
I had never heard of Lake Gaston before, but it was exactly half way between where our families live that we’re going on this trip and I am so happy we found it and this property! The owners made communication and house information SO easy and the house was perfect for our families. The outdoor amenities and items included with the house were above and beyond what we expected and spending each day on the lake was gorgeous. The dock area was the highlight of the trip and we spent our nights relaxing in the screened in deck. Having explored a bit more of the lake during our trip, I can say that Turtle Cove is the ideal spot on the lake and this house made it even better. Just perfect. Thank you, Turtle Cove!

Perfect location and lake accommodation
We frequent different lakes in the region every year and loved our stay at Turtle Cove, aptly named, as we saw a few turtle friends during our stay. Location: the Cove itself is very secluded and safe -- our 5 and 7 year olds could swim across to the other side by themselves without concern that a motorboat or jetski would blow through; yet the Cove is also at a great spot in the lake, itself, so access to get out and explore (we rented a boat) was extremely easy. Only about an hour to the opposite end of the lake where there were little islands to explore. The grocery store isn't particularly close (20 minutes or so) but there are smaller markets with a few convenience items within a few minutes of the house. We visited Rosemont Winery, which was extremely quaint and relaxing, and only a few minutes away from the house. House: the house and kitchen were well equipped, and the rental property manager was very responsive -- our soap ended up being low but she showed within hours of us calling. The dock is the real sell, here, though. Both the upper and lower decks were expansive, and could fit our family of six all sitting or lounging next to each other VERY comfortably. They also had all the toys -- Kayaks, paddleboat, paddleboards, floaties, chairs, etc. This is by far the best dock we've ever found at a rental, and the shade was a huge plus given we had grandparents who don't swim. Owners: Leah and Rob were awesome, and very attentive. They were lovely to deal with and made sure we had everything we needed!
