The best place to stay in Bowen ##### Toni Stayed 2 nights in Jan 2020 ### 6/10 Okay #### Tracy 3 Jan 2020 Liked: Staff & service Disliked: Property conditions & facilities #### Nice location but very dated budget accommodation We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment (no.10) and it is showing its age and is in need of a total renovation. This is not the level of accommodation that we would usually stay at but left our booking a little late. There was rain while we were there over 4 nights and the roof was leaking in the main bedroom (over the bedside table which we moved out of the way), lucky it was not over the bed. The kitchen sink is leaking water into the cupboard underneath and the tiles are cracked on the kitchen floor which lift when you walk over them sticking up and is quite dangerous and could cut you. This would not be good if you had toddlers crawling around or small children running around. There was no one around when we checked out so these issues were not reported but some are obvious anyway and should be rectified. There were no toiletries provided except for a couple of cakes of soap so make sure you take your own. The location is in a nice area but there are no shops or restaurants close by and so you need to drive or get a taxi to eat out. Good area for walks and markets in the park across the road on Sundays but unfortunately were not on at the time of our stay.
