Bowditch-Runnells State Forest

I was looking for an affordable place to stay for one night, and overall, this hotel did the job. I stayed in the building closest to the river and had expected my room to have a river view, so that was a little disappointing. That said, the room itself was comfortable, with a large bed and plenty of space for my things. The bathroom was fine, although it could have been cleaned a bit more thoroughly. Since I arrived late and was tired, I planned to relax in the room and watch some TV. Unfortunately, the TV options were pretty limited—mostly QVC and commercials. Obviously, no one comes to Maine to sit around and watch TV, but after a long day, it would have been nice to have a few more options. Overall, though, this was a perfectly adequate place for a one-night stay. The bed was comfortable, the price was affordable, and the location worked well for where I was headed.

This was a beautiful property, well located to get to other areas and enjoy the beauty of this region. The views from our balcony were amazing, the staff was very helpful. The place was very clean, our room was recently renovated and was very nice. Good size! We had breakfast one of the days we stayed and it was very good!

The first clerk was not so helpful...but then when we went back when to room was ready the young lady was delightful and will to help in anyway that we needed. Our room was spacious enough for three...it worked great for our one night stay.
