Unrivaled views of Bow Lake, the Bow Glacier, and the surrounding Canadian Rockies are just the appetizers to this superlative lodge. While the property is superb, the rooms are well-appointed, and the food is curated and Michelin-rated, the true gem is the unparalleled staff who always seem to find a way to make your stay more enjoyable. Can recommend without reservations.
This is an amazing property. Bruce, the owner since 2021, has spent a lot of effort in renovating and adding to the Lodge. It is a first class experience. It is all inclusive and the food is amazing. Dinners are communal and give you the chance to make new friends. This is a place not to be missed. We will be back as often as we can.
What a special place. We felt like we made new friends of the people we ate dinner with and those we had a drink with after dinner in the beautiful lounge. Their goal is to make you feel at home and we did. Fyi, no AC in the rooms but thankfully we had a cool night. No WIFI or TV's....nice to be off the grid! Bow Lake is magical. Splurge and stay for a couple of nights! Dinner, Breakfast and lunch included.
The Lodge at Bow Lake was one of the best hotel finds! The historic lodge has been meticulously restored, furnished and enhanced with fine art and historic photos. The staff curated a wonderful guest experience with a delicious gourmet group dinner and breakfast. We even were offered a free one hour birding talk from a Master Naturalist who was very entertaining. The setting is one of a kind on aqua blue Bow Lake with a hiking trail around the lake just steps away. We lived every minute there. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is a place unlike any other. Very unique; the staff stay on property for a few months while working during the summertime. They were incredibly kind. The owners were there when we were and were also very gracious. The location is fabulous. Where else can you go outside your hotel room with a coffee cup and a muffin in the morning and walk along a glacial lake before breakfast? Amazing!! It also has very easy access multiple trails around Bow Lake. Regarding meals, the dinners were extremely tasty and the ambience inside is very cool. Really nice to have the to-go lunches, too. The only warning I have is that you have to prepare to be very social - at dinners and during breakfast you have assigned seats with other groups at the tables. Assignments changed each night. It was fun but also could be exhausting after a long day, and dinner could take a few hours. Overall, we had a very unique and unforgettable experience.
Wow, from the moment you arrive you feel how wonderful this lodge is. The beautiful updates throughout the lodge were so thought out and well done. The staff is very welcoming and makes you feel at home. Well done!
Fantastic stay at the Lodge at Bow Lake. Customer service and hospitality were 1st rate.Food was excellent and loved the sandwiches and all the goodies you could pack for a takeaway lunch for your hikes for the day. The views were fabulous and loved the evening and early morning peacefulness of the lake before any tours arrived.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Lodge at Bow Lake and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful mountain getaway. Check-in is between 3–5 p.m. You park near the road and press the call button when you arrive, and the staff promptly picked us up in a golf cart and brought us to the lodge for check-in.
The lodge was exceptionally clean, well maintained, and had a cozy atmosphere. Slippers are provided and guests are encouraged to leave hiking boots and street shoes at the entrance, which helps keep everything spotless. The location right on Bow Lake is absolutely stunning.
Every meal was delicious—from the incredible après-hike snacks to the fun four-course communal dinner with the other guests. Breakfast the next morning was equally excellent. We had to leave early for another scheduled activity, and the staff went above and beyond by preparing a bagged lunch for us to take on the road.
One thing to know is that there is no Wi-Fi in the lodge or guest rooms. If you need internet access, there is a separate Wi-Fi shed. For us, it was the perfect excuse to unplug, relax, and fully enjoy the spectacular scenery.
The spot is perfect, quiet, beautiful, clean and well maintained. The food is amazing. Dinner is way beyond expectation. They even provided lunch bag of a few delicious snacks for day hikers. The surrounding is just heaven. Could not ask for more. Only bad thing is our stay is just one night! We will definitely come back for more stays.
The meals were very tasty and the community tables enjoyable. We met many nice people with interesting stories and good tips on hikes at our table, which changed up during our 3 day stay as guests came and went. It was fun running into table mates here and there. The Thursday talk in the living room, by a very funny and knowlegeable guy on local birds, was a treat. Interesting cocktails at the little bar and tasty snacks to go with it. Not having WiFi exept at "the shed' was just fine! The lake and mountains are of course spectacular. The mosquitoes on the hike to the falls were equally spectacular....bring repellant!
Bow Lake was a wonderful stay all around. Every little detail felt considered, and the staff were warm and attentive without any pretense. The food never missed, meal after meal. What stood out most was how the place felt luxurious yet calming, the kind of luxury that actually lets you relax instead of leaving you keyed up. The staff is a 11 out of 10 - Exceptional. I'd return in a heartbeat.
