PERFECT
I rented this accommodation for my employees, as we had work in the area. The house is great, it had everything they needed and was clean and comfortable. The owner was very quick at answering my question before our stay and we would definitely stay again if we are back in the area

Very nice and spacious property
The house is well equipped and in a convenient location in Southbourne. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back again. The only fault is that almost all of the ceiling lamps in the kitchen, front bedroom and bathroom are broken and require replacement.

We loved our stay!
We really enjoyed our stay. This holiday home had everything we needed. The house has lots of character and the nice sunny garden was great for our children and meals outdoors. Kitchen was well equipped including dishwasher and washing machine. The bedrooms were bright and comfy. The house is in a quiet tree lined cul-de-sac. We found parking easy and it was just a short distance to Bournemouth town centre and beaches. Close also to Southbourne beaches, Christchurch and Hengisbury Head. We would highly recommend this property to other families.

We will not be returning and would not recommend this property
Firstly, I have to say that my wife and I are not overly fussy people; but we do expect value for money. We enjoy the Dorset/Hampshire area and have been holidaying there many times over the years and until we stayed at Covena Road we have never been disappointed in the chosen holiday accommodation. The house furnishings, particularly in the lounge and dining area are very old. In addition, the old carpet on the stairs was "smelly - ? urine" at the top. There are no small tables in the lounge to set down a drink etc. Parking is very difficult on the street and almost impossible outside the house. The garden furniture was unclean and covered in spiders and insects. The ancient bench at the bottom of the garden was broken - probably with age. The dining-room is very outdated and not conducive to enjoying a meal. The bedrooms are OK. The kitchen is not bad; only 4 teaspoons for up to 7 people. Thankfully the weather was very kind as there is no tumble dryer. There is a plastic string immediately outside the french doors which can hold perhaps 6 garments. My wife and I stayed alone in the house apart from 2 nights when we had another 1 adult and 1 child stay. The doors at the rear of the house were almost impossible to lock. This property is over-priced by a large margin. The property lacks facilities expected of a holiday property and therefore deemed unfit for purpose in our opinion, A significant, early deposit was required; more than 50% paid 5 months in advance.

Our priority is always to ensure our guests have a wonderful stay. We appreciate feedback but we are very surprised by this review since we constantly receive many appreciative comments from our other guests. It is a pity that no issues were reported to us during this guests stay. If they had been, we would of course been pleased to immediately address them. The property is exactly as described with photographs taken recently. The property is well maintained and modernised but as can be seen from the listing photos has many charming original period features and furnishings which ensure the character of the property. Some of the furniture may be old in the antique sense but all is well maintained. We do not have a tumble drier but this is made clear in the listing. There is a full length washing line in the large private garden which is regarded as sufficient by most holidaymakers. Our guests have always in the past confirmed our experience that there is always plentiful safe, tree shaded street parking very close to the property. The carpets are regularly professionally washed. There was no evidence of any smell when the carpets were vacuumed and inspected before and after this guests stay and no other guest has reported such a problem. If the guest had reported this issue during their stay we would have sent a cleaner to investigate. We provided 5 teaspoons for the 4 guests who were staying. Unfortunately on rare occasions items are sometimes not returned by guests. We make every effort to ensure that this is corrected in the limited time available when preparing the property between guests. We are sorry if as a result, the guests expectation of 7 teaspoons was not met on this occasion. If we had received a complaint on this issue at the time we would have arranged for extra teaspoons to be delivered. Perhaps we should have done this automatically but we feel that most holidaymakers would prefer not to be disturbed in such circumstances. The garden furniture is regularly cleaned but obviously insects are to be expected in gardens especially in hot weather. The listing is accurate and fair. The pricing is transparent and payment schedules are standard practice and clearly stated. We appreciate all feedback but in fairness we can only be expected to provide what is stated in the listing and the guest should have reported the other minor issues to us during their 2 week stay so we could have helped them enjoy their stay.as much as our other guests.

Perfect Location
The house is situated in a quiet residential street perfect after a day out exploring Bournemouth. The rooms were nice and clean and spacious with good living and dining areas. This turned out to be a home away from home always looked forward to coming back after a busy day. Has all that's needed for family trips. Location wise we were not disappointed as had a car which took us 15 mins to get to the beach. Good parking space. Would definitely use again.

Great Place to Stay
Found the overall stay very pleasant. The house was slightly dated but the garden compensated this. Great location and would definitely return.
