Very clean and owner easy to deal with. Well equipped for 4 people, but was missing a kettle and so boiled water in a pan (no problem, we are adaptable and there was a coffee machine). Lots of lovely places to eat and drink in the old town and also gardens where you can take a picnic and just relax. A walk around the walls every morning is great exercise! The Saturday Market is great and try the cooked chicken and potatoes. Also a good market in Etaples on a Friday which sells other things rather than food. Boulogne is an excellent base to visit this part of France and inland towns such as Montreuil-sur-Mer and St Omer are worth a visit as are the towns of Le Touquet and Wimereaux on the coast.
