This is a charming cottage in a picturesque location.
This is a charming cottage in a picturesque location. It’s comfortable and very clean, with a sunny garden. The parking space is a real bonus but, as others have said, access is quite tight. The cream tea we discovered on arrival was a lovely way to welcome us. I would have given Jarvies 5 stars across the board but there were a few things that needed fixing. Also, I missed not having a wooden spoon and spatula to cook with, but maybe that’s just me! One evening the local pub had a live Cornish folk band playing which we really enjoyed. The food was good as well. We would definitely stay here again. .

This is a lovely cottage, full of character.
This is a lovely cottage, full of character. Boscastle is a beautiful town. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Just a few points to note or that could be improved on. 1. The cottage really smelt of dog the first couple of days. I appreciate it does accept pets so maybe we should of realised this could be an issue. However it did hit you when you first got in, and the whole family were sneezing and sniffing. We took all the blankets and cushions off the chairs and beds as they were all doggy, and after a couple of days the smell dissipated.2. The hot water heater is situated in the small upstairs bathroom cupboard, in between 2 of the bedrooms. It came on about midnight each night and about 6am each morning for 10 minutes or so and was quite noisy, think it woke me up most mornings. 3. There is a real lack of instructions in the house. Most holiday homes have a "manual" of sorts but there was nothing here. The first night I spent half an hour trying to work out how to set the clock on the oven so the oven would turn on. And there was very little info about what to do with rubbish etc. and though the listing says there's a tumble dryer, I couldn't find one.And finally... The front door was really difficult to lock/unlock, in fact I couldn't do it... My husband fought with it each time we came in or out. So yes, a few niggles. However it's still a lovely cottage and we still had a lovely holiday.
