Great apartment in the centre of Bordeaux

We had a fantastic stay in beautiful Bordeaux and this apartment in Place Gambetta was the perfect base. It is located close walking distance to all the sights as well as shops and a wide range of bars and restaurants. The flat itself was spacious and stylish (ideal for 2 couples or a family). The communication with the hosts/property managers was also excellent.

Great Location in a lovely typical French Apartment

Great Location in a lovely typical French Apartment. Friendly staff, comfortable and clean. Just be aware it's up three flights of stairs with no lift. No air-conditioning but fans were provided. We arrived late and were charged a late fee which we were only aware of after booking. There was no toilet paper in either bathroom on arrival. Overall, a great stay and we would stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Great apartment in a fantastic location for exploring Bordeaux.

We really enjoyed our stay here and thought the location was fantastic. Right in the heart of the city but not on a main road so not too busy. Right opposite a supermarket and restaurants, bars and shops within minutes of leaving the apartment. Just be careful if you struggle with stairs - three flights of stairs and no lift. And no air con but powerful fans dotted all across the apartment. Comfy beds and large rooms, good kitchen facilities and having two bathrooms was perfect for travelling with friends - great pressure on both showers. Lots of space to lounge. Very clean and comfortable and would highly recommend. Communication was excellent and check-out very easy. Would certainly return and explore this beautiful city further.

The apartment is in the 4th floor by US & CN standards, 3rd in EU. There are 73, dark, curving stairs with landings between floors. The door to the apartment is difficult to open. There are two locks on the door, one would unlock and then the other would lock. It took quite awhile and frustration trying to get it open. Marie was pleasant but very much in a rush. She forgot to tell us how to unlock the main door exciting the building. If the hall had light we could have easily read the button to push to exit but, as I mentioned, the lighting is very poor until you get closer to the 4th floor. Parking is another issue. Parking is not on-site. It is 1 1/2 blocks in one direction and another block the other direction so you need to carry it wheel everything a little distance. Additionally, there was too be a parking pass, which was not available so we are to be reimbursed $79E for two nights parking. The apartment itself is large and well appointed. Be sure to get instructions on how to operate the washer and cooktop. Thankfully we asked Marie before she left. She had a lot of difficulty with the cooktop but finally figured it out. We loved the location. There are coffee shops, bakeries and a grocery store next door and across the street along with all the tourist areas. We had a wonderful visit and would recommend the flat with the above notations.

Great location for exploring Bordeau.

Excellent location and plenty of windows for ventilation. A little noisy with the windows open on hot days. Several small problems that could be resolved with more attention by management.

The faucets in kitchen and one bathroom sprayed all over the place, there were no dish towels to wipe dishes , the dishes were dirty, spotted, there was an odor from the toilets as they didn’t really flush properly, no extra garbage bags, dusty. Very difficult to enter with keys, finally got in. Location was good, close to center, spacious.

Accueil déplorable

Guillaume (notre "hôte" invisible) a l'air tellement sympathique sur sa photo!!!... pas de chance, nous étions en contact avec Morgane, car tout est géré par une agence. Des échanges téléphoniques et par sms désagréables et mal aimables. Demande de caution (ce que j'ignorais) pour justifier le fait de ne pas avoir appelé le jour de notre arrivée ( pas de réponse à mon message écrit de la veille non plus), tout ça sur un ton condescendant et hautain. Aucune disponibilité pour nous accueillir à 17h donc simples explications (sms) rapides pour que l'on se débrouille tout seul. Pas d'état des lieux d'entrée ni de sortie puisque sans accompagnement (pourquoi une caution ?) . L' accueil est pour nous essentiel , il fait parti de l'expérience et du bien-être, par conséquent nous n'avons rien gardé de positif de notre séjour chez "Guillaume " si toutefois il existe.

Bel appartement mais faible service

Très bel appartement bien placé et spacieux. Attention forfait ménage de 49 euros qui comprend draps et serviettes a régler en plus au moment de l arrivée dans le logement. pas de sel poivre huile produit lave vaisselle ni papier toilette. Prévoir donc tout cela si vous choisissez cet appartement. Pensez aussi à prendre une tenture pour occulter la fenêtre d une des salles de bain sans rideau ni store et avec gros vis a vis.
